  1. I think Theilen wants to play for the Panthers or retire. Even IF we wanted to trade him, I doubt it could happen.
  2. The gas-lighting in this thread is laughable. So lets get a couple of things straight: 1. I'm not romanticizing the huddle of old. There were always annoyances and arguments and people losing their heads. The difference? They were outliers. The reason you can remember guys like Chuck is because they stood out as the problem. And they were reacted to and dealt with accordingly without it being necessary to run tattling to mods. There was an expectation of how you carried yourself and how you responded to others. That has become increasingly flexible. That's a fact. 2. The fact that the team sucks, the owner sucks, the coach sucks, or whatever the flavor of the moment is, doesn't give immunity to your behavior and interaction with others. We have far too many people with the inability to manage themselves and they simply shrug off any culpability because the team "isn't winning" and simply say they have a right to criticize the team. Yes you do, but you don't have the right to demean or demoralize others or continually derail threads with constant verbal bashing and criticisms. Your behavior and interactions are on you. Period. Be critical of the team, the owner, whomever. But its the interactions with other posters and with topics that is the problem.
  3. Look man, my gripe isn't with you and I know you mean well, but you have to stop with the customer service line reads and actually get in tune with the board. Truly. If you enjoy it here and can suggest others do as well, I'd love to hear how you sell it. But I'd rather hear the truth.
  4. Now you're understanding. I'm asking for someone with actual status here to make a move.
  5. Unreasonable? If they take on the role, they ASKED for this. Is that not part of the gig? If you can't or won't do it, regardless of pay, then quit. It's that simple.
  6. You aren't helping. You're deflecting. And it's not wanted.
  7. Why does it take reporting for the mods to notice anything? Are they not present? Are they not reading? Because if that's the case, they shouldn't be mods. Period.
  8. You can't be serious and if you are, you are not helping.
  9. No. If this board was run right, I wouldn't have to report much of anything. And that's the point. It's hands off and not anyone's problem unless someone files a complaint. It's absurd.
  10. Not to be a dick, but that's part of the problem.
  11. No one needs to poo rainbows here. But if you can't see that this isn't an inviting place for fan conversation, I don't know what else to say other than you aren't paying attention.
  12. I found myself inspired after posting in another thread... But what a collapse this place has seen. It's embarrassing. I remember this board when Jake tore his elbow and then came back to throw 5 interceptions against the Cardinals, when Jimmy Clausen was supposed to be great and sucked, when Julius Peppers left for the Bears, when Andrew Luck went back to Stanford, when Ron Rivera's stoic sideline appearance during ass whoopings lost its charm, and many other shitty times. It has NEVER been this bad. Ever. Now maybe Zod has abandoned this place. Maybe all of the veterans that kept this place humming are gone. But what is it going to take to get this place tolerable, let alone ENJOYABLE again? Disagreements? Sure. Pissed rants? Of course. Player bashings after a bad game? Understandable. But this is different. It's toxic. And it is not only being tolerated, it has become the norm and precedent set for this place. I don't create threads much anymore, but this is my ONE attempt to ask for this place to be returned to the fans. If my attempt goes unheard or ignored, I'll simply walk away quietly like so many others have. But this place needs to either change or die. I hope my fellow veterans step up here. And I hope Zod steps up. This is your ship, Zod. And it is nearly sunk. Hopefully that means something. Now I'm fully prepared to be roasted and attacked as has become the normal interaction around here. But I hope to be proven wrong.
  13. Bills losing to the Bears 31-0 in preseason game 2? Better luck next year Bills. Top 5 draft pick incoming. Amiright?!
  14. Depends on what we give up. But 35 sacks in two years? We need a player like that, desperately.
  15. The day before a game is usually just a walkthrough. Nothing to really report other than injury updates
  16. From what I read, I think from Everos interview recently, it is because Nick Scott knows the calls and can get guys adjusted presnap. Post snap, his play is marginal at best, but Evero wants a good communicator and I guess he believes none of the other guys can do it yet. I expect a change in starter at some point in the season though.
  17. I have been a Bryce supporter since Day 1. I wanted him over CJ Stroud, admittedly. And even I think that Bryce has to show out this year. I'm sure he knows it too. It's year 3, they have acquired a lot of help for him and molded the offense to his strengths. Now he has to deliver.
  18. I'm actually excited for this season. First season in years. I think we are going to make some noise. We may not make the playoffs, but I expect this team to be tough and fun.
  19. I think Canales needs to pull Raheem Blackshear off of returns for these last two preseason games. That's really the best way to gauge whether or not one of these borderline guys can contribute in other ways. It is not looking like Blackshear is going to make the 53, so those are wasted reps imo. Split time between Horn and Renfrow and see what we have. Also, Canales loves David Moore, so dismissing him is a mistake on fans' part. He plays special teams well and can be depended on, if needed, to make plays on offense. That's valuable for a 4th-5th receiver. I don't think he is a 100% lock, but there is something to be said for the trust Dave has in him.
  20. Why do you suggest that both things have to be true? Why do you assume that Seattle and Tampa's passing attack isn't something Bryce can do? His style and passing ability are similar to both Russell Wilson and Baker Mayfield.
  21. Looking into it, Corey Thornton's measurables are close to Brandon Browner. 2 inches shorter, but pro day numbers are almost identical.
  22. Dude you seriously have the worst takes on things. The worst.
  23. Best duo in the league? Absolutely not. - Jamarr Chase and Tee Higgins - AJ Brown and Devonta Smith - Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison - and hell I'll even say if Godwin is back to being healthy, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are better also. And that is just off the top of my head.
  24. The struggle for decent and accurate writing in all aspects of media is very real. Sad.
