  1. Has he really been anything special outside of his rookie year though? Evero mentioned being happy to have Chinn when he was hired but now he's to the point of barely using him. Seems pretty clear he's just not a safety but apparently they don't think he's stout enough to work at linebacker either.
  2. There's some history here. Jeff McLane reported that the Eagles scouts had Chinn as the top guy on their board in the second round a few years back. The reason they didn't draft him was that Howie roseman came in, overrode them and drafted Jalen Hurts. Guess they still want him.
  3. New name being floated... Feels like he's been discussed here before
  4. I do. He's actually right a lot. But the names he's giving out here are just speculation.
  5. Last year, he made Matt Patricia his OC and Joe Judge his quarterback coach. I wouldn't put him in charge of anything right now.
  6. Reports were that "collective decisions" under Matt Rhule were basically Rhule badgering anyone who disagreed with him until they finally gave in. On the whole though, I'm not necessarily against collaborative decision making... ...provided David Tepper stays out of it.
  7. You'd pay a massive amount of money for a heart transplant too. Would you then feel entitled to tell the surgeon how to perform the operation? an owner can certainly treat an NFL team as his own real life Madden franchise if he so desires, but he should then understand he's not going to build a winner if he does. (fans won't support that either)
  8. There's a really fine line between "challenging" and "overbearing". Plenty of bosses who think they're pushing people to be their best are, in reality, just creating a difficult work environment and making everything harder.
  9. Right now, Tepper is one of those "ass" owners. Bidwill is in a class of his own, though.
  10. That's not just what a good staff does. It's what Reich said he wants to do. Why it's not happening? Your guess is as good as mine
  11. Also, re: Denver One thing I'm getting an absolute kick out of this season is watching Sean Payton and the Broncos self-destruct I suspect I'm not the only one.
  12. At the very least, they can be used to influence high level football decisions.
  13. Relevant comment... I'm not sure I see it on the defensive side as much because I had thought previously that we were better suited to a 3-4 than a 4-3 personnel wise. But with the injuries on the defensive side and the issues we've seen with the run defense, It might be worth reexamining.
  14. More info from league insider Diana Rossini in The Athletic... Trade talk Three deals went down within a two-day period late this week with Randy Gregory to the 49ers, Chase Claypool to the Dolphins and J.C. Jackson to the Patriots. All were disgruntled players looking for new homes, with minimal compensation needed to acquire them. With a little more than three weeks left before the league’s Oct. 31 trade deadline, teams that believe they are contenders may want to add talent, and those who are not in contention may want to add draft capital. After discussions with league sources, here’s some early talk: • The Raiders have been busy making calls around the league looking for a pass rusher since releasing Chandler Jones. They are looking for a player-for-player swap and may not want to give up too much. • Carolina has been calling around about a wide receiver and other positions. The Panthers hinted to other teams that they are not interested in trading away players for draft picks. • The Texans have received calls from teams looking for a veteran quarterback, but I was told Case Keenum is not available because Houston relies on his experience and veteran leadership in its quarterback room. • For now, I’m told the Broncos are not looking to move any offensive players. This is despite receivers Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton drawing trade interest in the offseason. Link
  15. Lower level source but retweeted by Benjamin Albright...
  16. Word was everybody had a vote. But if we're talking about Tepper's influence, there's the old saying "My house operates on the principle of one man one vote...and I'm the man."
  17. I think lower level trades like that are probably more likely than high profile ones. But again, it's uncertain whether or not the Panthers are looking to trade at all.
