Well, seeing the results he got for us, If any of these outlets do decide to look for new reporters they should probably ask Frank Reich to help hire them.

That's only his last few years. He's got more experience than just that job, including being on staff with Thomas Brown when he was at Georgia (hence the connection). Josh Klein added this:

To me this is a Thomas Brown hire, same as the defensive guys were Ejiro Evero's choices.

We've got more than one coach on staff that would be able to give an informed opinion about him. Hell, Fitterer should know him well too.

The primary player coaching staff is now complete . All that remains is the S&C guys and any assistants to the assistants that the team might want to add.

We might be a little spoiled based on what we've been getting from our coaching staff over the last few days. Did I just say that?

Probably something our resident draftniks will want to take note of too when looking at potential draftees. If a guy comes off as not necessarily being the sharpest knife in the drawer, that's probably gonna take him down a few spots.

FYI: While we were watching our pressers here, the Commanders were introducing Eric Bieniemy as their OC / Assistant Head Coach. The topic of LeSean McCoy's comments about him naturally came up... Ben Albright had a pretty good take on this... The idea that one of the issues which has kept him from becoming a head coach over the past several years might have been a Harbaugh like personality isn't really difficult to believe.

For whatever else you may think of them, gotta give the Jets their props this season. If there was a prior year when a single team drafted both the offensive and defensive rookies of the year, I don't remember it.

Still that one empty spot

...is something that's been in short supply on our coaching staff over the past few seasons. Truth be told, probably also in certain parts of our roster. What feels abundantly clear now though is that it's going to be a top priority for new head coach Frank Reich and his staff. If that's not convincing enough, go back and listen to this week's press conferences. Everybody who's stepped to the podium from the head coach on down came off as not just smart, but also skilled as a communicator. It's... different I'm not gonna sit here and guarantee that we're on a quick path to the Super Bowl or anything like that, but I will say this: I'm less worried about us getting outcoached than I probably have been in the last ten years or so. Should be a fun season

We got one, and a good one (Shawn Jefferson). As far as the TE coach, Reich said they were probably about 24-48 hours away from announcing that. That statement was made about 24-48 hours ago

One other other thing from Staley... More than once, Staley mentioned how important it was to have a good RB stable to help minimize the wear and tear on each of the individual runningbacks. Sure would have been nice if one or both of our previous head coaches had understood that principle

Some info on Lamar Jackson's negotiations... Watson's fully guaranteed contract was for 230 million. Lamar Jackson wants more than that, again all guaranteed. To quote another guy named Jackson...

Won't be as much fun to watch as Rex Ryan would have been, but hey... One Ryan brother might have been enough for Payton
