  1. Let me put it another way... Which one of us is claiming to know what the team and certain players are thinking despite the fact that it goes totally against what's actually being reported? Cuz see, someone like that is who I would consider a know-it-all
  2. Willis was also projected to be a top ten pick prior to the draft.
  3. Yeah, this false notion that you either have to make some kind of ridiculous deal or you're stuck with someone like Darnold Is kinda silly. There are a load of options. You don't just have to go to one of two extremes.
  4. Trading up to get Jones would have been dumb too, honestly. He wasn't going in the top ten.
  5. How's the guy they traded up for doing? If they had it to do over, you think they'd do it again?
  6. And basically do the same thing to him that the Panthers did to Newton.
  7. Making trades like this gives you a really good shot of staying that way.
  8. But we didn't use a top ten pick to get him. This notion that you can just take a guy with good physical characteristics and teach him how to play quarterback at the pro level has blown up in more than one team's faces.
  9. There's a line between bold and stupid. This trade proposal crosses that line at high speed and keeps right on rolling
  10. I'd much rather put Brown at one of the end spots and look outside for a true nose tackle.
  11. Which is why teams are going with the strategy of trying to load up while they've got a quarterback on a rookie contract (like our own GM has said is the best way to go these days). Yes, some quarterbacks are going to get overpaid. That doesn't mean every team wants to be the one paying them.
  12. Oh, I don't doubt one bit that that's exactly what he'll do. He's made that quite clear. Reich has made clear that he's not a "my way, deal with it" type of guy. And interview questions with one person at a time arent substantive discussion.
  13. To be clear, if anybody has "met" with a draft prospect at this point it'd likely be a scout or someone of that sort at the Senior Bowl. The coaching staff is only now coming together and the higher ups in the personnel department aren't making those kinds of meetings just yet.
  14. Translation: "Nobody knows anything..." "...except me. I know this!" Sure
  15. If you're not sure one of the quarterbacks you want is dropping that far, it's definitely possible. But again, Reich made clear that he and the coaches haven't had that discussion yet. The front office reportedly likes him, but It's gotta be a united approach or you're basically the Colts.
  16. Thinking that teams are going to keep a guy around for two days and give him the full court press when they're actually not that interested in him is, as the saying goes, "a bold strategy Cotton"
  17. An old friend of ours gets a new job... Happy for Blackburn. I liked him when he was here
  18. Acting as if you know what a certain player is thinking when the player themselves has said the exact opposite is a good way to look kinda silly.
