    Yeah... Kinda wish people would stop seeing Newton in every athletic quarterback that comes down the pike. Chasing "the next whomever" in the draft is all too frequently a waste of time.

    I'd pull for Martindale State myself, though I'd say Steichen College and Western Callahan are strong competitors. Outside bet could be University of Evero. When it comes time for the pool though, I'm putting fifty on Saturday Junior College

    I really don't think people remember just how unique a specimen Cam Newton actually was.

    Reasonable as far as we go... That said, during his interview with Will Kunkel, Fitterer basically stated that he and Dan Morgan were the lead in the head coaching search. That would tell me that at least as far as Tepper goes, there's not any need for "deliberation". (and that's consistent with what we've heard from other sources)

    For those who actually did listen, Fitterer's comments about the coaching search interested me. He talked about Tepper being involved and played up his questions he asked, but also indicated that he and Morgan were basically the point men in the search process. That effectively ties him to Reich.

    There were reasons to b-tch about every one of those guys. Fitterer is still largely an unknown. My personal opinion is that he's going to be good, but at this point there's no guarantee. Finding justification to fire him though would have been a stretch.
