    Probably, but Nixon is one I wouldn't mind keeping. Outside of his association with Rhule, he's got a legit NFL resumé.

    Barthel was with us at one point but wound up let go quietly behind the scenes. More significantly though, it likely means Jeff Nixon isn't going anywhere.

    A little update... Wilson had characterized the exchange as Purcell saying something like "let's go". Apparently that wasn't true. And seriously, what kind of goofball says this sort of thing at a time like that anyway? Dude's ego is off the charts.

    I can't imagine not wanting Campen unless they have someone else they're tied to. Tabor? Probably similar.

    Pretty sure he's a free agent next year, but is everybody dead certain that Seattle won't at least consider sticking with Geno Smith?

    I don't know that the framing of it as this or that really matters that much. That he chose to respond to a random no-name fan in such an angry manner for all the world to see is the really stupid part.

    Getting the band back together... Foley was one of the coaches Wilks fired right after getting promoted. No word on Phil Snow yet (that I've seen, anyway).

    When the team was being created, the league tried to influence Jerry Richardson to adopt a purple color scheme. Richardson stuck with the blue due to it's association with the region.

    I've been watching the Nebraska fan reactions with some amusement. They sound a lot like we did one Rhule was hired here. There are celebrants, doubters, supporters, detractors, doom and gloomers, rationalizers, skeptics and believers all jockeying to get their word out ASAP. Me? I'm just gonna grab some popcorn and watch what happens
