NFL: Pats relationship with Mac Jones "gone sideways"

Said it elsewhere: Justin Fields isn't doing CJ Stroud any favors. -
Thompson?

Jones: Tepper now looking for "a young offensive mind"
Mr. Scot replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Guys like Harbaugh and Payton are gonna want a higher level of control than it sounds like Tepper is willing to offer this time. I get the feeling the days of full control head coaches in Carolina are over. -

Is that still true next year though? -

Belichick seems to subscribe to the old Jerry Richardson notion that if they were good at one thing, they'll be equally good at another. Never really been a big fan of that idea... -

I wonder if McDaniels would. -

Calling someone a "git" is an insult in British slang. I don't actually know what that means either. -

Jones wasn't a mistake as long as they had McDaniels. He was a great fit for that system. With McDaniels gone, it changes a lot of things. -

Yeah, pretty sure Belichick isn't a fan of being questioned. -
From Albert Breer... Now, the thought of trading for Jones is probably gonna cross someone's mind after hearing this, even if only for a moment. I don't know that it should. Why? Because what the Pats would ask is likely more than I'd actually believe he's worth. Either way, when things are going "sideways" up in Patriot Land, it's always good for a chuckle

Sounds like it actually is a shortened form of "idjit" then. -
Fair point

PJ didn't exactly help things

I'm old and uncool. What's a jit? Is it short for "idjit" maybe? -

Stewart was probably playing injured most of his career but never complained. He was all about the team.- 105 replies

A great runningback, especially one that's a good pass catcher, is a big help for a young quarterback.
-
They didn't. Teams called them. Everybody is available if their price is met, but Nobody's meeting it.
-
So you're obsessing over a player getting traded (with no regard to whether it'd be the best move for the team or not) because you don't like how people talked about your favorite player a few years and a couple of coaches ago? Damn, dude. Let it go
-
They're a team stat no matter what. Teams win. Teams lose. And I don't give a sh-t what color a player is if he's good. McCaffrey is great as long as he's healthy. Newton was great when he was healthy but he's not anymore. Trying to attribute wins and losses to one particular player is ignorant and illogical no matter who it is. And yes, that includes quarterbacks.

I'd call that the most likely scenario.
