I'm not real big on the PFF stuff, but for those who are...

Couldn't name much of anything, honestly. Yet despite that fact, just about up until it's firing I had people adamantly arguing with me that he was a good coach and I needed to support him. I think my personal favorite was the guy whose basic argument was that he could "just flat out coach"
-
That's because the head coach was a tool.

Roster and depth chart management is a big part of what a head coach does. Matt Rhule sucked at it.

I think I like Steve Wilks. Because of that, I think I would like to see him succeed more than I would like to see the team get a high draft pick. Whatever draft pick we get, we'll use to the best of our abilities. In the meantime, I'm going to be rooting for Steve Wilks.

I get why everybody is obsessed with the quarterback position, especially given that we've missed at it several times now. But the reality is still that teams win and teams lose. Getting the quarterback position right is important, but it's not the only thing.

The problem I see with the whole "we need the number one pick" argument is that it's based on the notion that if we just get this magical unicorn quarterback, everything else will fall into place. We actually had that unicorn a few years back, and yes we got close to a championship but we didn't win it, and we never went back. Why? Same reason that the Chiefs always seem to be in the thick of it while the Packers nearly always falter. You need a great team built around that quarterback just as much as you need that quarterback. There have been teams that have had a great quarterback but not much else. You don't see those teams winning championship trophies. On the flipside though, you saw a team with a quarterback that wasn't necessarily such a special unicorn but had the right pieces around him win several of the past decades Super Bowls. Gotta look at the whole picture, not just the center of it.

Pretty sure he's no longer a member here

I think Trevor got bounced, but I'm sure he's tried again. Poundaway is trying to act like he never said any of the stuff he did
-
A micromanager is bad enough. A micromanager with no clue what he's doing is an absolute disaster. (speaking of which, who the hell was it that was arguing Rhule wasn't a micromanager?)

So are key players still going to be on the trade block?

They weren't anyway. -
Trevor Lawrence proves going #1 doesn't mean much

Haven't we done that in the last two drafts without him, though? -
I'd rather trade for Lance Alworth.

Coaching made the offense predictable.

It helps if you've got other players you can complement him with. Then you can use him to draw attention away. ... That is unless you have those players but don't have coaches smart enough to know how to use them.
