  1. Carroll and his OC got universally ripped for that decision. Pretty sure the OC lost his job the following year or so. And yeah, this is what pisses people off about Wilson. He portrays himself as the nicest guy in the world but in reality he comes off as a self-important dick.
  2. Seriously though, Rhule is doing exactly what some fans on here do. He's talking about meaningless stats and rankings in a game that we lost as if that was something to celebrate. Nobody gives a sh-t. Frankly, it pisses people off
  3. Sooo... something tells me this might get some discussion around the league
  4. Word was Fitterer had basi been given carte blanche by Tepper to remake the personnel department as he saw...fit It does sound like he's gained Tepper's trust on some level.
  5. Copied from his Bills bio... Immediately prior to joining the Bills, Dorsey served at the Assistant Athletic Director at Florida International in 2018 and as an offensive assistant at Appalachian State for two months in 2019.
  6. Possibly also worth remembering thay Ken Dorsey would come with a huge endorsement from Greg Olsen. Don't know how much contact Olsen has with the Panthers anymore (obviously he still talks to Luke Kuechly) but he's very bullish on Dorsey.
  7. His first two years with the Panthers, he worked as a scout (as opposed to a coach).
  8. Still kinda early but it's headed in that rather unfortunate direction...
  9. I blame Rivera more than Newton, honestly. Rivera didn't coach him properly, use him properly or do much else properly.
  10. He first started coaching in 2013, so he's close. I'm a little skittish about that time he spent with the Panthers though because reports were Rivera didn't have him doing a whole lot of "coaching" per se. (mind you, seeing the job hr did with Josh Allen really highlights just how stupid that was) I'll also confessed that while he wasn't a head coach, the Joe Brady experience has made me a little gun shy.
  11. I expect him to get a look, and maybe even a job, but I'm leary because I don't think he's got enough experience under his belt yet. Mind you, that won't matter to some.
  12. Not one of my favorites either. Fitterer doesn't have that many guys with past connections that look all that special right now. Morgan does, but the best candidate he had in his orbit already got a job.
  13. For the interested, here's a decent roundup of future prospects from Pro Football Network. NFL head coaching candidates for 2023 Names that interest me the most (not necessarily all from this link)... Bengals OC Brian Callahan Packers ST Coach Rich Bisaccia Giants DC Don Martindale Eagles OC Shane Steichen Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon
  14. OC Shane Waldron is a guy I've seen mentioned a time or two but I don't know that he's exactly on the radar right now.
  15. The absolute disaster that Matt Rhule has been in Carolina might make it more difficult than before for other college coaches to get looks.
  16. There are names, but he's right that there aren't as many "exciting" names. Probably as much as anything it's that so many good candidates got hired last offseason.
  17. Eberflus is head coach of the Bears. Moore's name has been hot, but more performances like this past Sunday night might take that away.
  18. Making roster decisions based on stuff like that would be bullsh-t, especially early in the season.
  19. I'm not necessarily a fan. If we were to go defense, I'd be more inclined to go with Don Martindale.
  20. Ouch. Granted, talking about rankings is pretty useless, especially after one game.

Officially it was Rhule and Hurney together. Rhule's contract gives him final say and has from the beginning. A story was leaked however that Rhule wanted to trade down but Hurney insisted on standing pad and sticking with Derrick Brown. Could that have been meant to bolster Hurney? Unknown. Possible, I suppose.
