  1. I don't care if his face looks like an elbow as long as he knows what he's doing. One thing's for certain: Fitterer came off looking way smarter in his press conference than Rhule did in his.
  2. Starting at around 5:55... Our buddy Ellis was impressed...
  3. My perception is that he's a better QB Coach than OC.
  4. Hamilton is the only official interview request that's been made so far. Asked about the other rumored candidates, Rhule said "those names didn't come from me".
  5. And mortgage the future to do so
  6. I have a former brother-in-law who I always liked. He was a fun guy to be around. That said, I wouldn't put him in charge of a lemonade stand, much less something important.
  7. Rhule also has former staff he could potentially bring back in Marcus Satterfield, Jake Peetz and DJ Mangas. Mangas and Peetz both lost the college jobs they left for last season.
  8. First player we brought back... (because of course)
  9. No... ...but your replacement is also garbage (just a different kind).
  10. Calling Hamilton "a guy who worked with Watson" is a bit of a stretch. Technically he was there but practically...
  11. Stay away from Dan Morgan, you a--holes
  12. I imagine the expectation of Meyer being gone will be unanimous. Blackburn? If not unanimous, probably pretty close.
  13. A reminder of the assistants who don't have prior connections to Matt Rhule: Offensive Line Coach Pat Meyer Tight Ends Coach Brian Angelichio Special Teams Coordinator Chase Blackburn Pass Rush Speciaist Don Johnson And their potential in-house replacements if we don't hire from outside: Assistant Offensive Line Tony Sparano (Meyer) Defensive Assistant Kevin Gilbride Jr (Angelichio) Assistant Special Teams Coordinator Ed Foley (Blackburn) Coaching Assistant Terrance Knighton (Johnson) In your opinion, who stays? Who goes? (pretty sure I already know the answer to at least one of these)
  14. Rapoport says we're looking to add Pep Hamilton to the mix. The names mentioned so far: Bill O'Brien - Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks Coach, University of Alabama; former head coach, Houston Texans Jay Gruden - former Offensive Coordinator, Jacksonville Jaguars; former head coach, Washington Football Team Kevin O'Connell - Offensive Coordinator, Los Angeles Rams Pep Hamilton - Passing Game Coordinator / Quarterbacks Coach, Houston Texans
  15. No word on Tepper yet. Hoping somebody asks him if that whole "won't accept mediocrity" thing still applies or if he was just kidding. (my guess would be that he's full of sh-t)
  16. Speaking of... I wasn't necessarily a huge fan of Brian Flores prior to this year, and definitely not at the start of this season when they went 1-7, but good grief the man coached his ass off to close out this season and make the team competitive again. Is that not something worth a little loyalty?
  17. I'm not sure I buy this conclusion. Stephen Ross was reported to have wanted Watson pretty badly, but insisted on him getting his lawsuits settled. The trade fell through when four of his accusers declined to do so. I'm not sure firing Brian Flores changes how Ross feels.
  18. Meanwhile in Carolina, ownership is perfectly content with "not very good"
