  1. Yes, I can. Fitterer's background is in college scouting. Morgan's resumé is all in pro scouting.
  2. Newton has zero experience as a talent evaluator, football administrator or anything like that. The only people who think it'd be a good idea to hand him a role like that are fans and Newton himself. And I know people will say " yeah, but professionals failed at it". Sorry that doesn't mean Newton is any more qualified.
  3. That's another decision I don't want Tepper making. Hire the GM. Let them decide who stays and who goes.
  4. The name of the group is Sportsology, headed by soccer guy Mike Forde.
  5. I like Morgan, but I also remember his advocacy for the Panthers signing Michael Vick
  6. Depends on the role. If it's unrelated to personnel, I don't really have a problem with that organizationally. Now that said, the fact that he was involved in undermining the previous coach is a big deal. With that in mind, it's better that he be gone entirely. If that's not going to happen though, then a non-personnel related role is the best option. (that's what a lot of us used to hope Jerry Richardson would do with Marty Hurney since he was so determined to keep him)
  7. Maybe, as long as he doesn't pick the wrong people again. He has access to one of the best football minds in the league. Why not just use him instead of going to a search firm?
  8. They weren't. In fact, Tepper made a big deal of saying he didn't need anybody to help him with his hires.
  9. It lands to the idea that Fitterer will be moved to a non-personnel role within the team structure. Russini does still allow for the possibility though that he will just be fired.
  10. Quoting Dianna Russini... That, combined with the part about how Tepper has a strong personal affinity for Fitterer makes me think he still could stick around in a non-personnel role. Russini says though that it is also possible he could be let go, so I guess we'll see
  11. From the article: To help him guide his franchise for the future, Tepper has been working with the consulting firm Sportsology, led by former Chelsea FC executive Mike Forde.
  12. That's how Russini said Tepper saw it. Doesn't matter if it is or isn't.
  13. Champ Kelly is speculated as likely to end up keeping the Raiders job full time.
  14. This was the logic Dianna Russini and others said might lead Tepper to keep Fitterer as GM. His issues were only with the offensive side. That was before the "Hunger Games" stuff came out.
  15. He's trying to stick around long enough to get the all time wins record over Don Shula. A rebuilding team is not the place to do that.
  16. All of my feelings about Tepper are related to football decisions. And because of that, none of them are good feelings.
  17. FYI: Rumor from Jeremy Fowler today that Tepper may wait until the head coaching hire process is done before doing anything with the GM. Apparently also some talk of Dan Quinn as a head coaching possibility.
  18. I still think the best choice right now is to separate him from the team completely. Otherwise you risk a toxic environment, or at the very least the appearance of one. But If that's not going to happen, then at the very least you have to move him to a different role that doesn't involve roster decisions.
  19. Pretty sure Belichick ends up with the Commanders. Either way, Bill the coach is done. Bill the GM sucks. Bill the whatever else probably doesn't exist anymore, so...
  20. It'd be a red flag for me too If he were to transition into this other role, unsure whether he'd take part in a coaching or GM search.
  21. Being over other departments from field management to ticket sales to travel and logistics to stadium maintenance to whatever. Most team GMs handle everything even remotely football related.
