  1. Lady Cowboy Fan wants us to go this year. I haven't been able to get out of her whether or not she plans on wearing Cowboys gear
  2. Luke's... different The line that most caught my attention was this one: "I hadn’t fully grasped the playbook." That's hard to imagine.
  3. On a related note, it's nice to think that the last of Marty's contracts will be off the book within the next few years.
  4. No, it's not. I don't like to pile on, but Thompson gets my vote too. Thompson's contract isn't his fault any more than McCaffrey's is his, but they exist, so...
  5. If Hurney were just a puppet, why would you fire him? For that matter, why would you fire him and then turn around and hire a guy who's clearly not signing on to be a figurehead? Add in that it's pretty well established Tepper doesn't weigh in on personnel matters. Geez man, do you even follow the Panthers?
  6. There have only been two perfect regular seasons in NFL history. Yes, the Dolphins had one of them, but it was in 1972. Bob Griese and Earl Morall were the quarterbacks. Dan Marino was 11 years old (Yikes !)
  7. I'm not sure you're going to find a lot of agreement with that outside of the Panther fanbase. The biggest thing Smith needs is a Hall of Fame voter pushing for him. Given his relationship with a lot of the media guys, I'm not sure that's gonna be easy to find.
  8. And yet those guys aren't in either, including the ones who do have Super Bowl rings. That, plus there's a list of guys who've been waiting even longer than them (Cliff Branch, Mark Clayton and Mark Duper for example). You seriously think Steve Smith is just gonna leapfrog those guys?
  9. McCaffrey actually got even better in the following two years and had the 1000/1000 achievement in 2019. Lemme guess: You also have a different definition of "deterioration" maybe? (or perhaps you just have no clue what you're talking about)
  10. You're probably wrong about that, but it doesn't really matter. The Hall of Fame isn't purely stat driven (nor should it be).
  11. Nah. The actual"beginning of the end" was Newton's injury, and the later aggravation of it against the Steelers. It's the weirdest thing though. The team didn't close down after that. In fact, they're still in the process of rebuilding and a lot of us are optimistic about the future. Of course there's others that just want to be pathetic trolls, but you're always gonna have that
  12. And yet you didn't seem to be aware that 2017 was a winning season. Heh
  13. Well, I don't tend to be a miserable little sh-t about things, so no. Even though we lost Super Bowl 38, the highlights from it are still fun to watch. Likewise, while the 2015 season ended on an extremely sour note, there are still a lot of really fun clips from that year. Hell, I'd even watch good highlights from Super Bowl 50. (I'm just not sure any actually exist)
  14. Oh, and to answer the dumbass question, a simple search like "McCaffrey 2017 highlights" will get you plenty. Last season may have sucked, but there were still plenty of fun highlights (Jeremy Chinn's two quick touchdowns, for example). I'm not gonna refrain from enjoying them (or whine like a little b-tch when someone else does) just because it was a losing season.
  15. Several, and no I haven't passed anyone else's work off as mine. Why should I? I'd add that "high school" would be a compliment to what you're posting here.
  16. Do you have any posts that are worth reading? The whole "I have higher standards than you" thing is weak.
  17. Gross-Matos has indeed shown "flashes", but he needs to be waaaaaay more consistent before I'd be ready to put a lot of faith in him.
  18. Smith may get in eventually, but there's a logjam of great wide receivers ahead of him. Seriously doubt it's gonna be quick if it happens.
  19. That's basically asking "Would PJ Walker be the starter right now if he were good?" Sure. But that's the problem...he's not.
  20. I don't know whether Darnold is going to be a solid starter or not, but I do know he has a chance to be. Walker? Doubt he's even a good backup.
  21. The most accurate representation of our backup QB situation I've seen is someone saying we have two third stringers fighting for a second string spot. I'd prefer one solid second stringer over both of them.
  22. It has a lot to do with the fact that he's not good, honestly probably not even "backup good". He's not an NFL quarterback. I'd be way more comfortable with a better backup, but I don't know if we're gonna get one.
  23. Mind you, I do believe Walker will have a chance to be a starter again around 2023. That's when the XFL is scheduled to start back up.
