Hell, on the first play.
-
As always this time of year, it's good to remind everyone that this is only preseason and no one should overreact positively or negatively to what they see today. Also as always, this warning will go completely unheeded by many of our dimmer bulbs

It's been confirmed that putting off the Darnold decision was just part of fishing for offers. We were always planning to take his fifth year option. As to Lance, the word was they didn't think he'd fit our system. That's why they didn't attend his second pro day. So yes, they were that confident in Darnold, and still are. Will they turn out to be right? Guess we'll see.

I didn't like the move either, but objectively speaking it's too soon to make much of it. We'll see how Sewell does in the future.
-
I actually thought Scott was decent. Greg Little was awful.
-
You remember correctly. We didn't attend the second one. As to what we thought, Rhule addresses it in the pre-draft meeting when he does his mock on the whiteboard. His quote at #3 was "We're thinking Jones, although it could be Lance."

The deepest desire people seem to have on an internet forum is to be able to say "I told you so". Quick tip though: If you do this based on practice reps, a preseason game or even just a couple of series within a preseason game, there's a pretty good chance you're setting yourself up to look like an absolute moron.

From what I've read, the fan apparently said "just play football" (likely in reference to all the fighting).
-
Preseason one tends to be starter lite anyway. This year's preseason "game to watch" is expected to be game two.
-
You're not someone I'd expect to get it, so no problem
-
I don't worry much about practice fights either, but there is a line when it comes to real games. Doing stupid stuff can cost you (Steve Smith would testify to that). I definitely prefer the team standing up for themselves and teammates. You just have to be smart about how you do it.
-
Wait, what?!
-
Saw word where Shi Smith ran up and took a swing at somebody.
-
If he's genuinely not concerned, that's okay. Though the change of tone from yesterday does make me kinda go...
-
...didn't look too great today. Today's coverage was peppered with stories like this. Gotta imagine Rhule is pissed after saying yesterday that today would be better on that front. Of course, it'll be up to him to do something about it. With all that said though, I like that the guys are standing up for themselves and their own. And admittedly, this gives me a bit of an evil grin

Meanwhile... Might be about to get real down there...
-
Waaaaay too soon in the rebuilding process for anyone to be thinking of anything along those lines.
-
How many times was he benched last year? I've forgotten.
-
I'm very iffy on Tua.

When she was on trial, there were a hundred women from her home country of Ecuador that swore if she was convicted, they would go on a "holy war" chopping off as many penises as they could. After hearing that, I pledged to never date a woman from Ecuador -

Not really. There are two people in charge of making the team what it is, same as last year. The difference is that last year, only one of the two was trying to rebuild. The other was trying to win now to save his ass. -
Have you ever actually watched Sam Darnold? (judging by your posts, I'm gonna guess "no")
-
Mac Jones...honestly doesn't look bad. It's preseason, of course.

I'm not demanding the playoffs this season. Improvement is enough for me. I've said before I think this is rebuild year one rather than year two. Still stand by that. -
Speaking of old friends, Taylor Heinicke is running the second string offense for Washington.
