  1. To clarify, per ESPN that was Brady to Gronk, and apparently it was the real thing
  2. I sincerely hope that's not the real thing. Meanwhile...
  3. Yep. And while I'm sure a lot of athletes would like you to believe that their Pro Day results are a more accurate measure than the Combine, I'm...skeptical.
  4. He's not wrong here. Early mock drafts are about as accurate as Imperial Stormtroopers.
  5. From the article... The study of information they have on hand started in earnest Wednesday, as Carolina's college scouts began two weeks of intensive meetings with general manager Scott Fitterer. That I actually think it would be interesting to sit in on those meetings tells me I'm not a normal person
  6. Gantt's article has a lot of details on that.
  7. To anyone thinking the decisions of who to target and such are already made, the reality is that the process of shaping those decisions is just getting started.
  8. Seriously, we need more disco songs about historical figures.
  9. I'm not absolutely convinced that Lance is worth the number eight. I've seen some fans projecting an image of the next Cam Newton on to him that I don't think is really there.
  10. This was his main source... An important fact that Spanish left out is that Rasputin was "a cat who really was gone"
  11. Trade up to #3 overall and take Lance? I'm not sure you'd need to trade up at all to get Lance.
  12. Their fans are probably thinking of Exodus too.
  13. People were expecting a pretty crazy quarterback carousel this year. Now I'm not so sure. Seems like the Stafford deal skewed everybody's expectations a little bit. Now some teams are thinking "hey if they got that, we can get it too" even though their quarterbacks don't have anywhere near the ability that Stafford does.
  14. Asking a guy "hey, what do you think" is fine. Having them actually be part of the decision making, not so much.
  15. Not quite true... The Texans offered to let Watson be part of their coaching and GM search. He didn't ask for it. It was a stupid idea, but they did it. Then they made it worse by not following through on their promise.
  16. I feel like I'm watching potentially the biggest train wreck in NFL history in super slow motion. It's no exaggeration to say that right now Mark Davis (haircut and all) looks like a more qualified heir to NFL ownership than Cal McNair does.
  17. Good analysis. Guess you could say we've got biblical, literary and historical examples
  18. Honestly, if you're looking for imagery that represents Easterby and McNair, I'd go here.
  19. Heck, they're only getting started. I can't imagine being a Texans fan right now.
  20. He'd been with the team for a long while. Caserio seems to be wasting no time pushing out establish executives so he can get his own people in there. Also, from what I've read, Rootes had some conflict with Jack Easterby. So for anyone hoping the organization and Easterby are going to part ways, this probably isn't a good sign. Beginning to think we dodged a major bullet by not hiring Caserio.
