Let's say you are Deshaun Watson, bias aside, where do you want to go?

So I've heard. And Miami is...not sh-tty. The cities are no comparison. -
Deshaun WATSON Officially Requests Trade from Texans

If they signed up for that deal, I'd be glad Adam Peters didn't get the Panthers GM job. -

That's valid, especially when the other choice is no tax at all. Everything that San Francisco would have to offer is bound up in the team. The city? Not so much. -

I'd agree that's a factor. Just don't know how much of one. It's fair to point out that if you trade him to somebody within the conference and that somebody winds up beating you in the playoffs for years to come, that hurts...a lot. Granted, that's scenario requires the Texans making the playoffs -

Kyle Shanahan and their roster are probably good selling points. Living in San Francisco as opposed to Miami? Eeehhh... -

One other detail, re: San Francisco There's been a lot of chatter about them going after Matt Stafford. One or two people suggested they were already talking to the Lions about it and someone even speculated they were the front runner to land him. Granted, this was before the Watson news broke, but it's probably worth noting. -

That was why Jones suggested we'd need to throw in both McCaffrey and Brian Burns. -

Wasn't me but it's fair to point out that up till today, all the reports said that he hadn't made the request yet. Turns out that was wrong. -

I think the teams with the ability to make the strongest offers to the Texans would probably be the Dolphins and the Jets. The 49ers don't have as much capital, but if Watson really wants to play for a contending team, also figuring in that San Francisco like Miami has an old Caserio colleague in charge plus the appeal of getting him out of the AFC and I think the 49ers are a possibility. The wild card here is that while we can all make logical guesses about what Watson wants most, none of us really knows. Ultimately, I'm not really going to try and predict what happens other than I don't think he lands here. -

I don't underestimate the ability of the Texans to do something silly. Granted, Caserio might change things, but so far they're still a dumpster fire. -

Or Tua. Given that the Texans just hired a head coach based at least partially on his making friends with Watson at the Pro Bowl though (even while telling candidates at the same time that Watson wanted out) I'm not necessarily going to predict that they'll make the wisest decision. -

I'd agree. Nick Caserio might not, though. Remember, there was a time in New England when Garoppolo was so popular there was talk of moving on from Brady. -

Garoppolo. Worth remembering that he'd also be someone Caserio is familiar with. -

Also, if we're talking Charlotte locations, it's worth remembering that at some point down the road practice is going to be happening in Rock Hill. Players will be traveling to practice facilities far more frequently than they'd be going to the stadium. -

What I remember from my last visit there... Granted, I'm not a young man. -

If the Texans were insistent on getting him out of the AFC altogether, then I'd say the 49ers probably move to the top of the list. I don't know if that's going to be a priority though. No way they trade him to somebody within their division, but within the conference? That seems possible. -

Plus they have Brian Flores. -
I don't even know if it's Easterby as much as it is McNair. Obviously, they can limit Easterby's influence (and reportedly have) or just outright fire him, but you can't fire the owner.

He might also believe that he and Robert Saleh are a winning combination. -

The O-lne absolutely was that bad. Bridgewater having a quick release hid a lot of issues. -

Getting back a Young quarterback may at least help them somewhat save face. That said, no matter what they get back for him, trading away Watson is going to be a wildly unpopular move if it happens. -

You can extrapolate somewhat based on his dissatisfaction with Houston. He's paid a boatload of money, but the team's not winning. That would make me think winning is at least something of a priority. Clearly, ownership by non-morons would be nice too.
