  1. I honestly don't even bother trying to look for "the best". To me there will always be just two categories of quarterbacks: Those who are good enough to win the Super Bowl and those who aren't. As long as you've got somebody who fits in Category A, I don't really give a sh-t if he's ranked number one or number three or number five or number whatever on somebody's top ten list? I know some folks love rankings. All I really care about is winning. So if the guy we take ends up not being the better of the two, I won't really care as long as we win with him.
  2. Lady Cowboy Fan and I were watching WWE as I was browsing this topic and Stacey Kiebler came on screen. That's a very different discussion
  3. Understood. There's actually a half decent discussion to be had here on this topic but a couple of our resident Bryce Young fans have slewed things in the wrong direction. Sorry about that. Mike Kaye really did throw some good insights into his mock draft. He and Ellis Williams have been killing it.

  5. Nah (and no, he's not an alias either)
  6. We're at a similar juncture than we were in 2011 with a new coaching staff. In this case, there's also a relatively new GM and a fairly new owner. Throw in that there are more valid choices at the QB position than before and there's a pretty good argument to be made for this being the biggest debate ever.
  7. Hungry minds discuss lunch (I could use a burger)
  8. You have some issues with reality comprehension, dude. Reich and Fitterer are making the pick. They're not going to take a player they don't feel will fit their system, nor should they. And to be clear, no one has suggested that Young doesn't fit, just that Stroud fits better. But you're apparently so frightened of Young not being the guy that you're making absolutely ridiculous / borderline laughable statements. Quick Hint: No argument made in this forum has any effect on the pick being made. No one in the team offices is reading this board for guidance. They'll make the pick without your help.
  9. Kinda doubt any ody would put Stroud "a whole tier" below Young. Either way though, Tepper's already handed down that Fitterer and Reich are the ones making the pick.
  10. I'm certainly not the first to point it out in this thread, but it bears repeating. The idea that the team should make a pick with someone other than the current coach and his system in mind is one of the single dumbest and most unrealistic things I've ever heard. No team with even half a brain would pull a dumb stunt like that.
  11. I don't think it's the debate that gets heated so much as some of the people involved in it. (generally for silly reasons)
  12. Very true. I remember sitting at a dinner with a lady who felt otherwise though. Had some rather uncomfortable moments where I wasn't certain whether she wanted to jump my bones or stab me through the heart
  13. To be clear, the guys making the pick aren't really going to be all that concerned with what happens to the team if they're fired. (and why should they be?) They're going to be making the pick that they feel is best for them. And realistically, that's what they should do. As far as ability, if they don't feel like there's a huge difference in that, why not take the guy they have to make fewer adjustments for?
  14. I wouldn't say these guys are beating anyone but...point taken
  15. It's been reported that he doesn't want to go to a team with a rookie quarterback anyway, so I wouldn't think our chances of getting him are all that high either way.
  16. Respect, like for example not accusing people who disagree with you of having ulterior motives, wanting to cheer against the team, etc Your schtick is already well known, and isn't fooling anyone.
  17. It has more to do with the fact that you've continued pretty much the same pattern ever since. Like I said, antagonizing people and then pretending you're the one being attacked doesn't exactly speak well of someone's character.
  18. I wouldn't argue that, though there are some who would (and did, at the time)
