  1. A lot of people think mobility is the most important tool when it comes to avoiding sacks. It isn't. Processing speed is. Heck, back when he played, Michael Vick was frequently high on the list of who took the most sacks. Dan Marino was harder to sack because by the time you could count to two and a half, the football was already gone. The absolute best trait you can have to avoid getting hit Is the ability to get the football out of your hands too quickly for anyone to get to you. The ability to run and scramble is secondary.
  2. Side Note: A while back you kept insisting that I needed to make a decision on who I wanted at quarterback. Happy now? Seriously though, prior drafts haven't really had anybody that I felt that good about. While I'll grant this year's top two guys aren't necessarily generational players, I do feel good about them.
  3. Contract offer from the Ravens included $133 million guaranteed. How much does Jackson think he needs "to retire on"?
  4. Re: Frank Reich's comment that he and Scott Fitterer will be the ones deciding who the Panthers take...
  5. For any with concerns, not David Tepper
  6. My preference right now is Stroud. Young to me is that guy you really want to like but just can't get past the one big issue.
  7. That's Scott Fitterer's view as well. I get the impression these two are on the same page in a lot of areas.
  8. The devil on my left shoulder wants me to mention that Brown has a connection to Will Levis via his former colleague Liam Coen... ...but I'm not going to listen to him
  9. I get it... Young is damn near prototypical of what I like in a quarterback. Accuracy, intelligence, processing...the whole deal. Do I feel like it might be unfair to be scared of drafting him because of his frame? Yeah. Am I still scared of drafting him because of his frame? Yeah
  10. I said elsewhere there's a great story to be written with a team that has Sam Mills as a big part of their history taking an undersized quarterback. That said, thinking that he might be less durable because of his frame is unfortunately a rational idea. It's kind of like when something is broken around the house and you assume your kids did it. You might feel bad for thinking that way sometimes, but you still think that way, and most of the time you're right
  11. Guess not... I'm sure the reporters will be tweeting their questions and answers though...
