When Tyrone Poole made his leaping interception, I jumped too Was also right there about ten or so feet away when Steve Isreal knocked down that final pass. Nope. Just drove up the morning of the game and drove back after. Did get to see the speeches.

Breer thinks it's at least possible, but I know the comments about Tepper "not wanting to be wrong" aren't something anybody wants to hear.

I can assure you...he's not.

From his latest mailbag (link) From Justin Mason (@Masonjt24): Matt Rhule out as Panthers head coach if the Panthers don’t make playoffs? #KeepPounding Justin, obviously, Matt Rhule would have a hard time, like any NFL coach, surviving three straight playoff-less seasons. But there are two reasons to think David Tepper might remain patient. One is what’ll be left on Rhule’s seven-year, $63 million deal at the end of the year. Two is that this was a very big swing for Tepper, and it’s pretty clear he doesn’t like to be wrong. So yeah, in all likelihood, the playoffs will be the barometer. But if the team’s up and down early and catches fire late but just misses the playoffs, based on how invested the franchise has been in Rhule, I could see there being a path to him surviving it.

News from Cowboy Land... Basic Story: Jerry Jones was asked whether Jimmy Johnson would at some point be added to the Cowboys Ring of Honor. Jones replied that it depended on whether Johnson was "sniveling" for it or not. Johnson responded that he had to look up what "sniveling" meant but after checking decided that he had never "sniveled", and wasn't likely to do so now. I just texted that story to Lady Cowboy Fan, so if I wind up missing somebody make sure and tell the cops about this

One quick question: Is there money riding on this or is it just for fun?

I see Sam to the Rams possibly in the near future...

Their fans probably found it less funny than we do I agree that when healthy, McCaffrey is a fantasy machine, arguably a number one pick in just about any league. It's just that "when healthy" qualifier...

Some years back, I saw a Falcon fan asking who was better between an injured Michael Vick and a healthy Chris Chandler. They later said it was a trick question because there was no such thing as a healthy Chris Chandler

Technically Watson had more than that. There were said to be two women who filed criminal complaints but didn't file lawsuits. There were also some potentially pending lawsuits as well as a couple of women who spoke to the press that also hadn't filed. And hell, with 66 therapists out there, it's possible there are some who had similar experiences but chose to keep silent. At this point, I'm not sure anybody knows exactly how many victims/accusers there really are.

I don't do Fantasy Football, but I can't say I'd support that trade given...recent performance.

Yep. Said pretty much the same thing.

What would it take for you to be a fan of Rhule and Tepper?

If I had to wager on whether Matt Rhule was going to change the way other teams look at college coaches or he was going to confirm why you shouldn't hire them, I'm gonna bet on option two. -
I don't honestly remember seeing that but a quick google turned up this... Matt Corral explains his Wonderlic score

Possible if an injunction is issued. Florio had some info here...

Minor note... Probably not good news for Duke Dawson...

Always, John

Players liked Seifert too. Heck, teammates loved Delhomme and continued to support him even when it was obvious he was done. You really can't go by who players like, even when it comes to coaches. Those are as likely to be emotional decisions as logical ones. That's one of the reasons why I hate the idea of giving players (including franchise quarterbacks) a say in who the team hires or drafts.

There is a remote possibility for that if he or the NFLPA were to secure an injunction that prevented the suspension from starting. That's highly unlikely though given that neither party had expressed a desire to appeal the original suspension, only a lengthened one.

For someone who 'knows ball", the first step should have been to identify the best five linemen. Obviously, Ekwonu is one of those guys. It's also pretty clear they believe Christensen is another. So why in the hell would you ever want two of your acknowledged "top five" competing for one spot? That is easily one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Well said... -
Went to the Hall of Fame game in 95 between the Panthers and Jaguars with three of my friends. We were the typical young male numbskulls who didn't plan anything, just hopped in a car and went. By the end of the day, we were all thirsty, starving and had severe sunburns
