  1. He didn't say they let him do anything, but you can accidentally see and hear a lot of things just walking around law offices. (my brother and his wife both worked for attorneys) What he signed sounds like a "just in case" type document.
  2. Disagree. Kuechly said Holcomb was great, even after being pissed that his original coach Warren Belin got fired. Holcomb was also the guy in charge of coaching Jeremy Chinn his rookie year.
  3. This is (or at least was) a thread about a young man who died tragically. No details are as yet known about how he died, so anything suggested is pure speculation. Not sure how it came to this
  4. I'd keep Holcomb. He was Kuechly's linebacker coach.
  5. Al Holcomb already has that title. So does Jeff Nixon.
  6. Unknown, but I have a hard time believing Rhule is going to allow anybody to overstep Phil Snow.
  7. Only real hope I see there is someone like Wilks stepping in. But Snow is one of Rhule's "untouchables" so I don't know if that can happen.
  8. I'm not even sure they twisted his arm. Richardson had a really weird loyalty to the league. From the outside looking in, it seemed pretty one-sided. Doesn't seem like he ever saw it that way though.
  9. He technically wasn't, but kinda was. When Richardson announced his "internal investigation", I think he firmly believed the league would have his back. After all, he'd been loyal to them the whole time. They didn't, and that probably came as a huge shock to him, plus a major disappointment. As the sale was winding down, Darin Gantt reported that Richardson was walking around, grumbling things like "I don't have to sell this team", but there was no way the league was going to let him back out at that point. My guess is he knew that if he didn't cooperate, things could have been far worse.
  10. They were ready to do it with Richardson but he fell on the sword (and later grumbled about it). And I know a lot of people take the "mutually assured destruction" route when talking about NFL owners but I'm not convinced all these guys know everybody else's secrets.
  11. Hell yeah! I don't really think that's gonna happen though.
  12. A coaching suggestion from Scott Fowler... How would you feel about this?
  13. I suspect Snyder will be gone more because he messed with the money than any of the other stuff. But things like this are the kind of weapons the league can effectively use to help take him out.
  14. He's also the type that likes to do things in an unconventional way so that he can look like the smartest person in the room... ...if it works. The question is whether or not he learns anything when it doesn't.
  15. He got figured out around week four last year and never recovered, adjusted or compensated. Maybe guys like Wilks can help him this year but the bottom line for me is that Snow, like Rhule, is basically a college coach trying to compete at the NFL level. They're both out of their depth.
  16. Because the commissioner is serving up Snyder on a platter. It won't be Congress that takes him down. It'll be the NFL itself. This is just a sign that they're prepared to do it.
  17. That part worries me a little bit too though. Part of the reason Tepper went for Matt Rhule was because he was a hot name in the media. The problem with that is that sometimes the media darlings aren't the best candidates, and sometimes the best candidates aren't media darlings. He needs to let someone with actual NFL qualifications run the next head coaching search. If he runs it himself, we're as likely to find the next Matt Rhule as the next Sean McVay.
  18. I think the defense will disappoint people because Phil Snow isn't as good a DC as people think.
  19. Goodell testifying before Congress... Yeah...Snyder is toast.
  20. Morgan has a solid pro personnel background. In the personnel area, he's second only to Fitterer. He wasn't hired until after most of last year's free agent moves had already been made so he wouldn't really have had a hand in those. This year, I'd say he had more influence.
  21. Still TBD, but free agent moves after Dan Morgan came aboard have looked to be better.
  22. No cause of death is yet known. Only 26 years old...
