Their line isn't what it used to be and they've got some guys out. Most of the analysis that I heard earlier today said that Niners DL was significantly better than the Cowboys OL.
-
The Cowboys really needed that fake, but probably would have preferred to get more out of it than a field goal.
-
That pick hurt bad. The rouchdown immediately after hurt worse.
-
That was an interesting play design. You don't generally see the ball pitched backwards.
-
They're making a game of it.

La Canfora (link) Former Dolphins coach Brian Flores is being viewed as the strong favorite to take over the Houston Texans by numerous coaches and general managers involved in this hiring cycle. Flores interviewed with the Texans on Friday and there is a strong anticipation that a deal with Houston could come together very quickly. ... Flores has strong ties to Texans general manager Nick Caserio and executive Jack Easterby -- all have Patriots roots -- with Flores and Caserio working together as scouts. ... it was widely known that disgruntled Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson was a fan of Flores -- Miami explored trading for Watson throughout his lost 2021 season while facing numerous allegations of sexual misconduct or sexual assault -- which would undoubtedly be a factor in this coaching search as well. ... "I'm telling you, Nick is going to come out of this looking like a genius," said one high-ranking NFL exec who knows Caserio well. "He and Flores go way back. That is a perfect fit. And, it's going to help him keep that quarterback. Just watch. He doesn't have to trade him, he can ask for the moon, and Flores could help rebuild the relationships in the meantime. It just makes too much sense." Another GM said: "That looks like a no-brainer to me. Who would Nick hire before him? They already have a relationship. There's trust there."

Lady Cowboy Fan is not enjoying this game so far. Me? I'm honestly just shocked at how poorly the Cowboys are playing right now.
-
That play...wow
-
Time for Cowboys-49ers... Lotta callbacks today to those old Cowboy-49er playoff games. Those games were great. Oddly enough, Lady Cowboy Fan isn't as big a fan of Dwight Clark's "catch" highlight as I am

After today, everyone should understand you need a QB

Which one of those things makes the Panthers a better football team? -
It's gotten comical at this point...

I think it's gonna take a lot of things, starting with getting an actual NFL head coach. -

You think drafting a good quarterback would be enough to turn this Panthers team around? Yeah...Good luck with that. -
What was that, like a...twelve step drop on that play? And all that just to throw a pick.
-
Is Hurts looking a little gimpy there?

Oy... Kudos to the Eagles for overachievering and getting here, but it looks like they're badly overmatched.

Yep. And Carr's a great example of how a poor team can destroy whatever potential your young quarterback might have had. Picking a franchise quarterback isn't gonna turn a bad organization into a good one. Heck, I'd argue that a good organization is more likely to be able to recognize a true franchise quarterback than a bad one. -
It depends on Tepper. He has no clue how to build a winning team. We know that, but the question is whether he understands that. If he does, then maybe he'll do the right thing and hand the reins over to someone who actually does have a clue. If not, he'll continue to trust his own terrible judgment and heaven help us.

Pretty much. Do you need a good / great / franchise / whatever quarterback? Yeah. But does picking a potential one of those automatically make you a great team? No. If you believe it does, lemme introduce you to the 2021 Chicago Bears. (and that's just one example among many) -
Oh man, this game is not starting well.
-
It's not wrong for a football fan to want to see their team in the playoffs. Likewise, there's no shame in being angry that your favorite team is poorly run.

We're trusting Matt Rhule to be in charge. That's never gonna work. -
