  1. I am thinking we end up #4 or #5. Favorable scenarios.
  2. I think you are genuinely not walking the dog on DT's in the NFL. I would say top 10 guy, for sure.
  3. Carolina will likely miss out on a rare feat, which is finishing last in Yardage and Points on offense and defense. 32nd in Offensive Yards, 25th in Points Scored, 32nd in Defensive Yards, 32nd in Points Allowed.
  4. I am not sure what list you are using but I don't believe very many would consider either of those guys top 5 at their position. They certainly have that potential but neither has been able to maintain that level of play for any real length of time.
  5. It's pretty amazing that once we have fairly solid LT play that people suddenly forget the years of turnstiles at LT in the post-Gross era. As someone said earlier, why on earth would we be creating a new roster crisis that needs investment when we have so many of those already? And this goes for the crowd that wants to get rid of Moton too. WTF is wrong with you people?
  6. Lots of crazy scenarios in draft land. Could end up as high as #3 overall. Can't wait to draft the next bust!!!
  7. He is squarely a top 15-20 CB. The problem will be if he wants to be paid like a top 5-10 guy.
  8. I would disagree. A 4-3 scheme can be aided by a massive space eater, as well. It's just almost a must have for a quality 3-4.
  9. Kiper is a known moron and joke even in the draft prognostication community. Every Panthers fan should have that figured out by now.
  10. Nah, the bowl system has been bad for almost 30 years now. If you want the reason behind that, it lies squarely on the greed of the TV networks, athletic departments and conferences. The ever expanding pool of teams that make bowl games, the fact that you don't even have to literally have a winning record to get into one just makes 95+% of them into contests that only the two schools involved really care about. Casual fans only have ever watched "the big teams in the big bowls." Hardcore fans have even become exhausted by the bowl schedule. So, even prior to the BCS and now the playoffs, the bowl games have steadily been devalued every single year. To that point, the players had already started to opt out long before the NIL existed. If anything created a newer bubble in players opting out it would be the transfer portal much more so than the NIL. Even then, it's been an almost exponential rise over the past decade. I 100% understand why the players don't care. These games have almost always been meanginless. Glorified exhibition games of which they really get little benefit.
  11. You can't completely blame one offseason for all our defensive or overall roster ills. That took multiple people multiple years to achieve. If we didn't know any better, one would assume Tepper was a Saints or Bucs or Falcons superfan with how efficiently he has brought people in to tear down this franchise.
  12. I don't dispute that but if Evero is calling your shots as a FO, that doesn't say much for the FO. If it's a collaborative effort, that doesn't say much for the FO. If it's largely the FO making the decisions, that doesn't say much for the FO. Ultimately the front office guys take heat for poor talent. Even if it's at the behest of the coach/coaches.....you still ultimately have the responsibility. Hence the 80/20.
  13. 100%. A lot of these "premier" team QB's are mediocre at best.
  14. Nah. IS goof. Those guys are usually lone wolves in the US. I am sure it is just precautionary because any additional safety measures take time to put in place.
  15. It was REALLY not smart to poke the bear before this game with all that poo talking. Zero reason to put a bunch of bulletin board material everywhere and then be proud of it.
  16. It wasn't getting screwed over even remotely. They had no business being anywhere near the playoffs last year with or without Travis. The ACC was historically bad. They genuinely didn't deserve it.
  17. I didn’t feel bad at all for them. They had no business being near the playoffs at all. I very much am enjoying their fall and hope it continues for years.
  18. The "factual" thing is those teams lost those games. The emotional thing is the "players didn’t play, transfer portal, etc." That has nothing to do with what actually happened. Remember the FSU "We WeRe ThE rEaL nAtIoNaL cHaMpS!!" horseshit? How did that end up working out for them? If you spend your time crying and making excuses, what message does that team get from you as a coach?
  19. That's right, I forgot you guys actually made it and got beat pretty soundly by Texas.
  20. Unfortunately, it isn't going to get better. What is being laid bare is that there has never really been much parity in college football because it has always existed as a sport without a salary cap. This will continue until the facade drops, they actually are professional teams(have been for almost 40 years now) and there is a salary cap.
  21. Every "I SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE PLAYOFF" team lost so far. Clemson was not in the class of basically any of these teams.
  22. My biggest concern is that XL has more issues than just hands. He body catches, he mis-times jumps and he loses balls. These aren't rare enough events. I am just not convinced he is going to be able to fix all of that.
