  1. TBH, I don't buy the Lynch rumors even a little bit. If anything, he has proven how adept he is at evaluating and acquiring talent(in free agency and through the draft). IMO, Shanahan is likely the one to be staring at the hot seat.
  2. I really don't think it would be that much better, TBH. Not enough to matter.
  3. Moton doesn't have enough value to trade, IMO. Plus, Niman is just not good at all. That is an unwise move, IMO. Of the minimal bright spots this season, the OL was one.
  4. 100%. I HOPE(but don't believe) that this was just window dressing/PR on the turd that they likely knew this was going to be. If anyone in that organization had any shred of sense, they could have seen this coming. Sadly, I kept saying all offseason this was the worst roster in franchise history. I was very surprised so many posters pushed back on that. I am not reveling in being correct, I am just genuinely perplexed that people didn't see it. I have said(and am still trying to get a sportsbook to give me odds on) and maintain that we are not likely to see a winning season before 2030.
  5. They actually do have a smart FO that doesn't seem to make panic decisions. They aren't the Jets. They know that this can continue past Shanahan if need be. I don't think they are likely to make this sort of move at all.
  6. As I have said a few times now, there is no rebuilding. There is nothing left to "rebuild." This is now just plain building. There is no rush because there is no obvious end to this in sight. Furthermore if guys are not into the future of this whole fiasco, get compensation and move on. There is no reason to keep guys around that have no desire to be here. It's as bad for us as it is for them.
  7. I would normally agree but he has not played well this year(in very challenging conditions, mind you) and he looks like he is starting to make some business decisions. I can't blame him, TBH. The organization SHOULD have better insight into his mindset but if I started to get a whiff of him checking out, I would move on. His value is only going to get lower over time and we classically make this mistake of not moving players when they aren't going to be or don't want to be part of our future(Peppers, Norman, Burns, etc). The only time we recently got very good compensation for a player was CMC and then we proceeded to squander the picks we received. I would like to keep him around but if he isn't into it, it's time to move on. No hard feelings, it just didn't work out here for a multitude of reasons.
  8. Luvu wanted to leave. It wasn't us not wanting to keep him. In fairness, he was 100% correct because the way Dan Quinn uses him is better than he would have been utilized here.
  9. Not really. They still have Jennings and Deebo. Plus Pearsall is now playing. I actually don't think they are in panic mode at WR.
  10. Agree. Guys like Johnson I understand getting rid of. He seemed to be pretty checked out Sunday. I highly doubt he has any desire to stick around, for that matter. Horn honestly looks like he is starting to check out too. I wouldn't be against moving him. I expect he would be better elsewhere but I think we are just on borrowed time. He is likely to want to head elsewhere once his contract is up.
  11. We should be moving players but there isn't much to move. AT has almost no value(bad injury, older), Johnson has some value, Horn has some value. Outside that there isn't much to work with before the trade deadline. Bryce doesn't make a ton of sense because of the cap implications. Ikey doesn't make sense because the line is already insanely thin, he has played pretty well and he's VERY cheap for an averageish LT. Hubbard could be a candidate but likely won't garner much compensation. I saw Clowney mentioned, he is basically conditional 7th at best. Not even worth trading. A lot of our guys fall in that category. No value or 6th or 7th round at best. At that rate, what is the point?
  12. If you read a lot of the "anonymous" scout/exec quotes over the years, you will see that there is often pretty varying opinions on even the 1st round guys. I think there is commonly dissent in the ranks of most organizations but how they all handle that varies quite widely. Here.....all ways are the Queens ways.
  13. I was a Bryce guy. It was a huge mistake and it was honestly obvious after year one.
  14. He is even more perplexing than Brenton Bersin.
  15. What is Thomas good at again? I keep hearing blocking but then he misses them at critical times.
  16. Well the issue is we aren't drafting them high enough, for the most part. If you want a great WR, get them in the top 10-15. Our ability to find those guys in the 2nd or later is horrifyingly bad.
  17. Not a great class at DE/Edge. BPA, even if that means passing on an edge rusher in the top 5.
  18. I was talking about the son, though. No, he knows that he couldn't talk to NFL players like that
  19. I was gonna say, it's hard to argue that he hasn't faced any adversity if you watched them last season. And maybe he has gotten some "special" treatment but he is also getting real NFL preparation/knowledge. Deion actually played this sport and at a HOF level. I don't think he is gonna have his son being ill prepared.
  20. No RB's in the first three rounds, please. That's one thing that would fuging infuriate me in this upcoming draft.
  21. Neither Ewers or Beck really ever struck me as high level NFL prospects.
  22. Hard to blame him, really. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Manning kid do the same if he ends up being a top prospect.
  23. McCord is likely a Day 2/Day 3 guy. BPA. Don't reach. That's my thing.
  24. I suspect this draft looks more like the 2022 QB draft than the 2024 QB Draft and you see very few first round guys taken.
