I honestly thought they were in the offseason when they added Stafford. You don't add an elite QB to a team that strong and not have an immediate impact.

As someone who was definitely against the signing, this is true. If he can maintain this higher level of play for the bulk of the season, then it's reasonable to think he can improve even further in future seasons. I am still wary of proclaiming him "the answer" this early in. I didn't forget last season where Teddy ripped off three straight wins early in the year and the same jumping to conclusions was made. Or when Kyle Allen was ripping off 5 straight wins. He doesn't concern me as much as they did in the "eye test" category like Teddy and Allen did.

I think the biggest key will be remaining healthy. Being down two starting DB's hurts a lot. CMC was obviously a loss but I think the identity of this team is on the defensive side of the ball. Hopefully Bouye can step up and fill in well for Horn. Glad we signed him.

49ers/Packers too. These feel like key matchups for the top of the NFC pecking order.

It's hard to know what to think at the moment. This is the "easy" part of the schedule but we have looked dominant defensively. I don't think I see anyone left on the schedule that I really fear. That was something I wasn't expecting.
