  1. If we are in the middle, who the hell is below us?
  2. Well Jake was 29 when we signed him and we got plenty of usage out of him. Wasn't Beuerlein like 29/30 when we signed him and took over as starter at 32/33? 32/33 isn't really that old for a modern NFL QB. He could easily play 6-8 more years if he takes care of himself and wants to play that long.
  3. On the other hand, it is much easier to jettison those bad picks now than it was a little over a decade ago. Arizona was swiftly able to recover from their mistake on Josh Rosen. Washington cut bait from Dwayne Haskins. It hurts but at least you don't have a massive salary to jettison when you fug it up.
  4. Remember Cleveland spamming QB picks for a long time? That worked well for so many years.....
  5. Consider you are talking to the resident Huddle Court Jester.
  6. I lean this way. I have always liked Stafford and believe he would be fantastic with our current(about to be former) receiving weapons.
  7. Yeah, I think Stafford has a lot of shelf life left if he decides to have a long career.
  8. I hope to be able to respond, "Sorry, the correct answer was Kyle Trask" in a few months.
  9. It's not the size of the site, it's how you use it.
  10. You can't unsign that contract we have with CMC. What is done is done. You adjust and move on. You don’t try to trade a dude that, again I will point out, is literally at the lowest trade value of his young NFL career. The odds of obtaining the assets in return to make that worthwhile are EXTREMELY low.
  11. Sometimes the difference between what you want and what you will take is quite different. If I were Houston, I definitely wouldn't put out in the press that I would take less than that.
  12. Lol. I can understand that. Sometimes it's hard to see behind the curtain. Even with our guys who we love and aren't always good people. My favorite Panther of all time is still Steve Smith. I have never met the man but I have never heard a single positive thing about interacting with him. You know what though....I still love him to death. I will always love Steve Smith. He'd have to punch me like he did Ken Lucas for that to change.
  13. Nah. He is 100% not fake. He is genuinely just a really nice guy. He is pretty corny. I will give you that.
  14. There are some pretty decent statistical breakdowns of that over the years. It just depends on your specific criteria.
  15. The talent level has dropped off. Lol....why do you dislike Russell? I have actually met him before. He is genuinely a very nice guy.
  16. Yeah, that team reminds me quite a bit of Wilson's old NC State teams where he was "The Guy" making a suspect roster appear better than they were. He is the classic example of why you have to get that franchise QB. Even when the chips are down they make you competitive. Think about how often that was true when we had Cam.
  17. Yeah, the only situation those guys are on the board are: 1. Elite franchise QB in prime(Watson scenario, which is probably an NFL first) 2. They aren't going to sign with us again anyway.
  18. Pretty much the same thing I have been saying. Basically the bulk of the guys we really, really don't want to get rid of are the most valuable assets we have. People get so enamored with the flash of the NFL they completely miss out on the financial and positional value aspects of the league.
  19. Buy high, sell low. That would be something special.
  20. Yeah....I don't know what these people are thinking. CMC isn't a particularly tradeable asset right now and for DAMN sure not at the value he adds on the field. We can gripe and argue about how bad his contract is all day long but that ink is long since dried. Unless there is some franchise QB on the board for this hypothetical trade, people need to chill on this BS.
