I think the plan is to build the rest of of team while gambling on lower round QB prospects and veteran free agents. Then if you finally have the team, be bold and trade the world for your guy in the draft or from another team. That is just about all you can do in that 5-8 game win purgatory.

Yep. We can get a good player, most likely. I mean or we could fug it up and draft someone like Parsons, no doubt who would help plug a hole on the roster but also at a position of lower value. This is ultimately the Panther way, FWIW.

Yeah, I mean this is a deep draft at OL, so I am not AGAINST the idea of trading down to get more draft capital. But, you don't just trade down out of spite if you have the opportunity to get a high value prospect in a position that is difficult to fill. Quality LT's are probably even more rare than franchise QB's. Top end corner's don't exactly grow on trees either. That said, it doesn't mean that I wouldn't be listening to offers if they come my way.

I think that depends on what is available. An elite LT or CB prospect is worth snagging. If they aren't available, trading down is wise.

I am down to take a LT or CB at 8. I wouldn't even bother with Teddy. That ship has already sailed. Cut him and either sign a veteran or get a later round QB.

They aren't gonna trade Jimmy G unless their rookie is lights out. More likely to see a Alex Smith/Pat Mahomes scenario.
