Easily? Lol.....I would disagree with that. Our highs have been high but we are in the bottom 5 of the NFL in winning seasons in the span of our existence. Hard to beat that for futility.

7 winning seasons out of 27 is not what I would call a successful franchise. Frankly, it is pretty likely to be 7 out of 28 after 2021 and would be our 3rd streak of at least 4 straight seasons without a winning record. Our longest being 6 years. The Jets have less consecutive losing seasons than we do and have not had as long of a steak of futility in that span. Just pointing out that we don't have many franchises we can legitimately poo on. After all, we are the only team in NFL history to not have consecutive winning seasons.

Look up how many winning seasons and back-to-back winning seasons we have each had in that period.

This is true. Perhaps it would have been worse? I think Teddy makes decisions fairly quickly, I think he just leans way, way, WAAAAAAAY too conservatively.

The OL moves were just head scratching. I am pretty sure those guys would still be free agents right now and likely cheaper at this point. I think Perryman was a decent gamble, as was Bouye, Reddick, etc.

We actually don't have much in the way of quality depth. That is one of our biggest weaknesses and is the reason it is critical to nail the next couple of drafts and/or do well in the offseason. The quality of our starters is decent at some positions but we can't go very deep(if at all) before we start hitting guys that aren't really NFL starting caliber. That is why it is pretty important for some of our critical moves in free agency to pan out both this offseason and next offseason. We definitely don't want to get into a "rinse and repeat" cycle, which we are at OL and QB currently.

Definitely not as good as here. I suspect quite a bit better than Darnold.

Better team, yes. Better coaching, most likely. Better organization, very debatable.

I don't think any team interested in him is likely to offer him a starting opportunity barring injury. But, I wouldn't be stunned if he did perform better than Darnold. He performed waaaaay better than him last year.

Well, given that we have reports that they have been shopping him for weeks with no luck and that we gave Teddy the chance to pursue his own trade.....are we sure that Fitterer deserves any credit?

I mean.....look at the best if Winston and the best of Darnold. What makes Winston be "what he is" and not Darnold?

The staff really needs to hope they are right on Darnold. If he is....still Sam Darnold, I think they are gonna start getting some heat next offseason for these bad QB positions.

We aren't gonna know what this looks like until next season. We can have our respective takes and predictions but until he takes the field, it will be an unknown. We are also not getting a complete picture at the moment. Let's say we draft a QB that ends up beating him out at some point. The trade might not look good but if we find our guy at 8 or another pick in the draft, is anyone really gonna care to gloat about it?
