Yeah, and we had those 2 guys the past 4 years and did absolutely SQUAT without a real QB. Much better to have the QB spot settled and then try to get him weapons versus having the weapons and throwing darts at the board for half a decade trying to get a QB, all while those weapons get older, injured and more expensive.

Wow. Number 83. That’s not good.

Nothing makes some of y’all happy, I swear. We just got the first pick in the draft. That’s good news.

Because the teams drafting those guys needed QBs and the Bears don’t?

Lol I’m 42 and I can count the number of Panthers games I have missed in their entire existence on 2 hands.

Shouldn’t be too difficult to replace 900 yards and 7 TDs

Ryan Poles trying to drive up the cost of the #1 pick
joemac replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
There is A LOT of smoke/chatter currently on NFL Twitter about us having a trade in place with Chicago to get the first overall pick... -
Something has gotta give with these QB salaries. Its untenable to pay 1 player 25-30% of the cap thats allocated for 51 salaries.

New trade down theory coming out of League circles
joemac replied to Growl's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, what would that even look like? Has a team ever traded from 2 to 1? Im sure its probably happened but I cannot recall. I would think it would only net Chicago maybe a 2nd and something like a future 3rd or 4th? -
I wonder if the reason that us, in particular, have not been interested in Lamar is because we already have a deal in place to move up to the top of the draft? Perhaps all the way to 1? Im thinking maybe they have already agreed to a deal and it will be announced around the 15th of this month when the new league year starts?

JOE PERSON: Panthers will not pursue Lamar Jackson

Lamar has played 5 years on the NFL. One being a unanimous MVP. He’s far from done. He’s 26 lol. -
