Mr. Richardson did flex muscles regarding Hardy
Rags replied to dswofford's topic in Carolina Panthers
lmao if you think all 32 owners don't have SOME say about what goes on on their team there's no such thing as a completely hands off owner. -
Mr. Richardson did flex muscles regarding Hardy
Rags replied to dswofford's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our Pass Rush suffered more from CJ being hurt most of the year than Hardy being gone. We need some young talent to replace him, yes, but the hole he left is much smaller than the hole Peppers left when he went to Chicago. Our D-line was also a lot worse as a whole then than it is now. It's a team sport, Hardy is good yes and he was an emotional hype man for us, but already hard one okay year without him. We can move on. -

Man a lot of you guys act like Hardy is an elite, 1st ballot hall of famer we'll never replace. Hardy is an elite run stoper and a good pass rusher. A lot of his sacks were buffed up late in the season from weaker OTs, but he's got a motor that never stops. Our Run defense suffered more than our pass rush when he was gone last year, we'll be fine without him -
Golly Gee Goobypls if Crabtree is ~so elite~ why is no one trying to get him Go Ahead, I'll Wait

Average Gain from Big FA Spending Sprees? 0 Wins
Rags replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes, some times build through Free Agency and Draft But we are not a team that can currently afford that. And smart teams don't OVERPAY for any free agents. Much like Dolphins, Redskins, And Tampa Bay commonly do. There's a difference. -

mitchell was poo when he came here and nobody thought he was any good. Mikell was on the downside of his career. And I guess you forgot us bringing in Drayton Florence, who was also a big part of our defense that year, and he was mediocre to bad his entire career. Harper was a pro-bowl saftey, so was Decoud. i don't know how you can say they were 'picked on thier entire career" when both of them had shown promise at some point in their career, more than Mithcell had shown beofore, or after he came here. Oher had two good seasons with the Ravens, and one okay one (the Superbowl run for the Ravens.), he's played hurt the past few seasons, and now he's back with the o-line coach whom he had his best two seasons under. Coleman, a guy we're in no shape or form bringing in to be a starter, played well for the Cheifs as a rotational guy, and had a really good season. At worst, he's a special team enforcer, something we needed BADLY last season. You forget the Eagles game? This is a need too. You're reaching bro. EDIT: Forgot to mention Guys like Cason and Dickson, who also were both mediocre to bad before coming here. same for Avant and Cotch.esecially at this point in their careers. and other failed projects like Tiquan Underwood, who the onl reason we knew his name is because he burnt us before in the previous season. This is not any different from years previous

*signs at worst a rotational cover saftey and a special Teamer* THIS GUY SUCKS GETTLEMAN DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO BUILD A TEAM WHY DIDN'T WE SIGN SHORTS.

man i think our defense did fine without greg hardy the latter half of the season but man what do I know

Robert Lester one of the best DB in the League next year?
Rags replied to Bj-Monster23's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well we can replace an old, slow saftey who often gets burned with a young, slow saftey who often gets burned. Hope for the best tho -
Arguing with KKL is like going to the aquarium and ignoring the "Don't tap the glass" signs. You know it's wrong but golly gee is it fun to see those fish get worked up over something so minor.

Saw that coming. Hapy Trails, Greg.

I don't think that's likely. We've shown the willingness to bring in and talk to other players, but if they ask for too much then we'll quickly turn them down. It's unlikely that we'll bring anyone extremely big nma,e but someone like a Cecil Shorts isn't a far fetched idea. If not, we'll just look to the draft.
-
No, i explained why he's a solid signing to bring back at least for training camp. I never said he couldn't be upgraded, but I don't exactly understand why he's so abysmal that he can't at least be bought back to training camp.
-
Nobody's saying we should improve the roster. But all we're saying is there's no reason to go out the first few days and burn $$$ on the first few days of Free Agency. Let the market cool off first.
-
Nobody's. Saying. Bersin's. Cemented. On the roster. All people are saying is "Hey why are you criticizing our GM for At Least bringing him in to Training camp when it literally affects nothing about how we'r going to handle the FA/Draft"
-
Nobody here is saying Brenton Bersn is the future. Nobody here is saying he's even great. But you guys are mad for retaining one of our guys when all it means is he's goign to be going to TC.

Based off of what? What did he do that showed that he doesn't have the talent to play on an NFL team. He made some particularly reliable catches for us last season. There's no reason not to keep him unless he regresses. He's done a lot more than Edwards has ever done for us. But i mean if you're 100% sure he wouldn't be on any other layoff team please, tell me how and why hes worse than other 4th string WRs on other playoff teams. I can name one 4th string WR who's probably better than him yet this is the same guy you guys are bitching and moaning about us bringing in for a visit.
-
Pumping him up to what? Be a guy who's a solid Third or Fourth WR? This isn't like years past where we thought Kenny Moore would be the Next Great Thing across from steve smith based off of similar production. We're saying "Hey this is a guy who knows what we do fits in our system and is cheap." Why are you guys so against that
