Yes, some times build through Free Agency and Draft But we are not a team that can currently afford that. And smart teams don't OVERPAY for any free agents. Much like Dolphins, Redskins, And Tampa Bay commonly do. There's a difference.

mitchell was poo when he came here and nobody thought he was any good. Mikell was on the downside of his career. And I guess you forgot us bringing in Drayton Florence, who was also a big part of our defense that year, and he was mediocre to bad his entire career. Harper was a pro-bowl saftey, so was Decoud. i don't know how you can say they were 'picked on thier entire career" when both of them had shown promise at some point in their career, more than Mithcell had shown beofore, or after he came here. Oher had two good seasons with the Ravens, and one okay one (the Superbowl run for the Ravens.), he's played hurt the past few seasons, and now he's back with the o-line coach whom he had his best two seasons under. Coleman, a guy we're in no shape or form bringing in to be a starter, played well for the Cheifs as a rotational guy, and had a really good season. At worst, he's a special team enforcer, something we needed BADLY last season. You forget the Eagles game? This is a need too. You're reaching bro. I don't think that's likely. We've shown the willingness to bring in and talk to other players, but if they ask for too much then we'll quickly turn them down. It's unlikely that we'll bring anyone extremely big nma,e but someone like a Cecil Shorts isn't a far fetched idea. If not, we'll just look to the draft.

No, i explained why he's a solid signing to bring back at least for training camp. I never said he couldn't be upgraded, but I don't exactly understand why he's so abysmal that he can't at least be bought back to training camp.

Based off of what? What did he do that showed that he doesn't have the talent to play on an NFL team. He made some particularly reliable catches for us last season. There's no reason not to keep him unless he regresses. He's done a lot more than Edwards has ever done for us. But i mean if you're 100% sure he wouldn't be on any other layoff team please, tell me how and why hes worse than other 4th string WRs on other playoff teams. I can name one 4th string WR who's probably better than him yet this is the same guy you guys are bitching and moaning about us bringing in for a visit.

Pumping him up to what? Be a guy who's a solid Third or Fourth WR? This isn't like years past where we thought Kenny Moore would be the Next Great Thing across from steve smith based off of similar production. I've said this bdeore in another thread but uh - Your franchise QB was playing hurt most of the season. - Your oline din't have any real set pieces and gelled until the last 5 weeks. Same for your DBs. - One of your starting pass rushers was playing hurt most of the season, the other was suspended for all but one game - Your starting HB was hurt and didn't get healthy until late, and even before that he was running behind aforementioned terrible O-line. We have weaknesses, yes, and we're going to adress them. You seem to think that Gettleman is ignoring them for funsies because he's not breaking the bank on these top flight WRs and is waiting for the market to cool down a bit...you know...like Most GMs Do.

Probably yeah. He can block, run routes and he's made tough catches, not to mention he can help onspecial teams. Not to mention he's improved a lot both years he's shown up to training camp. There's no reason to think he can't get better. He's easily better than some other players with had here that the Huddle loved. Namely Seryi Aroujitutu and Legatron. People loved those signings and they're complete trash. You do know that teams are made out of more than just superstars right? You need role players. But here's my question for you: Why would you not sign a player to at least be a camp body if he's shown promise each of his two years there, knows the system, and produced okay when called upon?

Also i didn't know all the FA WRs were gone. Last I checked players like Cecil Shorts, Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, and Denarius Moore (lol this guy is trash but you guys think he'll be a #2) are still all available. But I'm sure Dave's not trying poo.
