Joe Person: Panthers really like Mason Graham and Jalon Walker
Rags replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Since this is bumped thought I'd share Jalon Walker's snaps since everyone thought we were gonnabe obvious and take him I was dreading it) One game, preseason, yada yada I know. But this is EXACTLY why Ididn't want to touch him in the top 10. Second snap is a good rush but then be basically gets stonewalled as a rusher literally every snap after. His ability top stack and shed in the run game flashed on a snap or two but that wasn't a talent worth a top 10 pick. -
Then you have to stop and wonder why he might not be part of their long term plans when they're currently not paying anyone really on their offense yet. This isn't Roquan Smith, and even then he went for a 2nd. Much rather give up a 4th or something for Lloyd than hurt or WR room. Edit: And with BTJ, Hunter and Dyami Brown as 1, 2 and 3 why the fug would they want Coker?

Eh, happens. We'll be a young team with no firstsor QB but a young talented offense and a defense with pieces if everything else falls into place. We'll have to figure it out with QB but I think it's worth the risk unless I think my roster is bad enough for Arch I'd say it's worth the risk. Rather figure it out with Parsons on my roster. It's never gonna happen so I can just discuss the hypothetical since we'll never actually live in the reality with the consequences.

I'm typically of the "don't trade first for players" crowd. Was a big noon teDeshauntrade even before the allegations because our roster was poo. I don't see this happening at all, but but I'm all for it for a player like Parsons and with our current roster. You can't wait for the perfect moment to get a player like him and he would make literally everyone on the roster's job easier. Even missing 5 games last year he had 12 sacks. Our offense is cheap right now. Sure we have other questions but our defensive outlook is a complete 180 with him.

Still better than Daeshon Hall

Lol there's two 2nd round picks this year that got fully guarantees. Drafting a project that high then trying to downplay him is peak Bengals. And I'm a guy who liked Stewart more than most.

Well, the Niners just doomed themselves to mediocrity

Jalen Hurts has entered the chat. Eagles get away with it by having a cheap defense. Remains to be seen if the 49ers can pull it off -
Jadeveon Clowney upset about being released
Rags replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's where I am. He'd be great in a rotational role unburdened from having to start. Has to be something deeper for him being cut for essentially peanuts, or we're gonna go after depth/stop gap at another position. -
Yeah if there was a season I think an ownership like the Rooneys would be "okay" with tanking It's the year the winners get a Manning as a QB. Can totally see the "Steeler way" going out try he window this season for Arch.

I really like Chiime Dike out of Florida on Day 3. I think he's a back of roster guy who can maybe develop into more and adds speed for cheap.
-
No I...personally didn't have him rated that much higher than Ewers. I thought they'd be Day 2 guys but quite a few prospects slid further than I thought. Lots of safe stuff Shedeur likes to run, never on time, takes more boneheaded sacks than Fields does right now or Cam ever did. And then there's stuff you can't coach better like lack of arm and not overly mobile.
-
I don't think there's any thing that projects higher than Wallace or Jewell at this point but I like Stutsman a lot here.
-
Like taking his tape aside for second because that's subjective What in heaven makes you think he'd be chill with being third strong on the Carolina Panthers? You keep saying 4th round take a shot like there isn't baggage with this player.
-
Three edges for this team isn't crazy and I'm pounding the table for Bradyn Swinson
-
I admit he's not worse than Gabriel that was just silly lmao But he's Teddy Bridgwater. And that's if he learns to play on time. That's his ceiling. Do we really want that?

I was just thinking man we're building a good locker room, let's add a The Golden Calf of Bristol level distraction to it for the fug of it.

Round 3 - Panthers Select Princely Umanmielen at Pick 77

The only lineman on our roster with respect on their name? -
Round 2 - Panthers Select Nic Scourton at pick 51
Rags replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Like this pick with Princely a lot more. He is a.... question mark as a rusher but he's a meat and potatoes kind of player when we need all the help we can get on the line. -
Round 3 - Panthers Select Princely Umanmielen at Pick 77
Rags replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he actually learns to use his hands to disengage, he could be a steal in this draft and I've been saying this since before I knew he'd be a Panther But man he just...doesn't have a bag. And it's gonna be rough to learn in the NFL. -

And this is a guy in college who would lose to TEs sometimes. I was never high on him, but hate that injury is the reason he slid. Sucks for him.

Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

I really don't get why no one has been talking about Kyle Willams (besides Simms, eugh) but I'd love him. -
Matt(not Mac, he’s dead)Miller two round mock draft
Rags replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Unless he tests like an absolute unit his tape is exactly that. Either way I'd puke if we took in top 10. -
REPORT: Panthers interested in Khalil Mack
Rags replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
And my response is there is a world where both can co exist, I think both will be fine for the locker room. Neither are full time starters and better as situational guys at this point. But with our crippling lack of any discernable pass rush talent we need depth and technique more than anything else. Even if we go pass rush at 8 it's not a bad start to tie up some cap in pass rush for the year.
