  1. Any time the Cowboys are good the world is a worse place.
  2. There are more human cases of rabies every year than he has touchdown catches too, so it works on multiple levels.
  3. My honest prediction is a blowout loss similar to the 2024 opener. Like 35-10 or 35-13 sounds about right to me.
  4. Yeah the kids are hitting Franklin Street right about now. There are probably more entertaining fights happening in front of the Varsity.
  5. You don't see that much wide open space in Montana
  6. Scott Fitterer was one of those people with the uncanny ability to do the exact wrong thing at the exact wrong time.
  7. I'm sticking with 1-4 wins. Subject to change if the whole "we're going to flick a switch in week one and be a good football team" thing happens.
  8. Brent Hinds, co-founder and formerly of Mastodon, died in a motorcycle accident late Wednesday: https://apnews.com/article/brent-hinds-mastodon-dies-64bf2936826141287ef7a87b4845f068
  9. Yeah it's one thing to put the fear of God into a bunch of wide eyed 18 and 19 year olds who are living away from their parents and family for the first time in their lives. It's easy to get them to do what you want, and if they aren't getting it, Dabo runs a blue chip program with access to the best recruits in the country. So see ya, enjoy the bench. That setup would be like an NFL team having five first round picks in the draft every year. Harbaugh and Carroll have managed to make the transition successfully but there are many more who haven't, one of whom we're familiar with.
  10. Hell go get Jake Plummer out of retirement at this point.
  11. Hi Tom Brady, what's it like being the most prominent example of a completely freakish historical outlier.
  12. Even fuging Dan Snyder accidentally made it to the second round of the playoffs once when he wasn't busy forcing cheerleaders to grind on old pervs or they wouldn't get their driver's licenses and phones back. Even having a winning season seems like an impossible dream now.
  13. I kept getting flashbacks to 2023 watching the game this afternoon. I think we looked better as a whole even in the 2024 preseason, and we know what an unmitigated disaster that season was until like November.
  14. Like I tend to think I'm one of those people who tempers my disappointment. Football is a crazy sport and we don't always know what the coaching staff is looking for. I didn't expect three 80 yard TD drives in the first quarter or something. But seeing how badly the OL got whipped after all the cap space and draft picks we've dumped into them (granted with Damien Lewis sitting but they shouldn't look that bad), zero push in the run game, Bryce Young looking as indecisive and flat as ever, and basically the 2nd team on down looking like they've never played football before, it's very hard to draw any positives from this game. It's more likely than not that, after seeing this exact thing play out over and over again, this is just what we are as a franchise.
  15. If you asked me to call it right now I think we're a 1-4 win team.
  16. I was way more impressed when I saw it live, I misjudged where they were on the field and thought it was more like a 58-59 yarder. Nope, 52.
  17. We basically hadn't done anything until Jack Plummer came in and the backups started to trickle out onto the field from the Texans. The literal highlight from the starters, if you can even call it that, was Sanders dropping a dime that hit him in the hands for a first down.
