He is 23 and what he cost us was really pretty low if are better next year. I understand he has been poor so far but what if this guy ends up being good? He has some talent he just needs some success.

If you hit your first read at almost 80 percent of the time that is a good thing. This is really overblown in Fields case IMO.

The injuries have been really tough. Get the guys healthy and we can make a big run next season.

I heard someone discussing this and they mentioned the Jets will probably require a 3rd at least for him. Otherwise, they could just keep him and get a comp third later.

I said before the last draft if you like Lawrence you should like Herbert. Similar physical profiles. If you like Lance look at Jordan Love (who had like zero snaps) last year. Wilsons comp is Rodgers...but Rodger sat a while, which is best case. Fields comp is Russell Wilson and for me that isn't ideal but he can make plays. Trask is a day 2 pick and I see a developmental guy with Cousins type upside.

I like Trask...guess I am crazy Pitts is an amazing player...if you like a pure receiver at TE. Do love the guys alpha mentality

Finally had time to watch Wilson’s pro day and watched a few games. Man, he has that golden arm. He does resemble Rodgers with that flick throw right on the money. That is his comp for me and I am really impressed at what he can be. Would have loved to see more adversity being faced but he seems unfazed with noise around him in the pocket. He is really talented. Definitely 2 or 1 A in this draft. Do put a ton of stock on the stage that these guys played on though. If he goes to the Jets and is forced into action soon he could get overwhelmed quickly. David Carr comes to mind.

Agreed, dream scenario as either Fields or Lance are there at #8 and I would personally trade something to move up 1 spot to 7 to secure Fields services. We need Mac Jones to go at 3 which I still won’t believe till it happens. BTW...if I was Atlanta and I am not QB I definitely move off that spot. Might cost them Pitts but the return is too valuable.

Absolutely, the draft is a crap shoot no matter who you pick. Everyone is anointing 20 year old guys as “perfect”. Its easy to see why so many picks don't pan out. At 20 if someone gave me 20 million dollars to go risk my livelihood playing this brutal game I might take my money and go home.

Yeah, my point is this...on paper Fields is probably #1 in this draft. Trevor is the least scrutinized player in the draft which is weird. He had some pretty mediocre games no one is talking about. That talent is oozing though. He can be one of the greats but it is not set in stone by any means. He definitely needs to improve.

Sorry man, no way. Lawrence is way better, not close Fields at two is debatable but I agree based as comp Mond kills me as he is productive but SO BORING as a prospect

It feels fairly certain 1 of the top 5 QBs are there at 8. Personally hoping it is not Jones. Ideally Atlanta goes another way than QB and we would be in good shape IMO. If Jones goes 3 we might get our choice of Lance or Fields but I personally think that is unlikely. Personally felt Lance looked a little more athletic in his pro day but for me Fields would be obvious pick. Ive seen him on the big stsge.
