Bryce Young had a super high floor definitely at least won't be a bust safe pick we allegedly had seen in some time.......and went on to have one of the worst rookie seasons of all time. They are all lotto picks. And that is especially true for whatever they will be day 1 in the NFL. I don't think Tmac is a sure thing year 1. It's not like we watched him do his thing in the SEC. He was a PAC12 guy. I'm sure it will take time

I said it in real time, not playing Bryce Young in preseason the past 2 years like he needed was dumb and likely contributed to his horrific starts every year of his career. If Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, etc are getting more preseason reps than your bad QB......whatever mental gymnastics you are pulling to explain why Bryce wasn't repping was bad gymnastics.

we didn't add a #1 WR in reality though. We drafted a kid that has never stepped foot on a NFL field and we have never seen him log a single snap yet. It's a lotto ticket. New England adding a Diggs is going to carry way more weight.

not saying I agree with it but if other teams get better at a higher rate....you could still drop while making some improvements in potential.

after years of studying the huddle and predictions... XL is the most likely to excel this year (because he is the most doubted) Tmac is the most likely to disappoint (because he is the highest praised new guy) and AT will lead the team in targets, receptions and yards just to tick me off.

in prior years, the team believed Bryce Young was basically Joe Montana out the box. Carolina has been using the same Kool-Aid recipe for some time this time of year.

but we aren't even mediocre. And Tepper's leash is not long. Might as well swing for the fences in Tepper's gutter. I mean, a bad year pending how it falls......you got to think folks like Dan Morgan have high odds of looking for employment.

What will get Morgan......is the D. Essentially the w/l column. The D isn't currently capable of winning w/ such little O coming from the QB spot. So if he is the same dude.....the L Tepper losing streak just continues on. And you can't really sell....BUT just wait til year 4 given what dudes do year 1 in today's NFL.

yeah, worst case scenario.....is Bryce is basically the same dude that played post benching last season. He has to take a pretty decent step forward or get worse IMO. We make plans either way.

my bar is what it is...... can they be entertaining. They generally provide that. Good or bad. Entertainment can exist. really only the Clausen/Fox's lameduck season, Matt Rhule's lameduck 3rd season, and Frank's season have they failed to provide that for me.

an overtime loss to the Jags and people will run for the doors and call for the season to be canceled that features a Bryce Young 60%, 207 yard, 1 TD pass performance (which was post benching Bryce minus his worst game and best game).

yep, this season is already cooked and done. if there is hype or excitement.....it only ends one way. if no one cares or is talking.....then there is a chance. It's a proven and unquestionable formula of Panther truth.

Norman is correct. That's 2 that have been guessed. Captain and Norman. IMO, those are the only 2 people got a shot at guessing. The other DB would be wild for someone to guess. And zero shot anyone guesses the OL. Really goes to show how you shouldn't care much about late round picks. Because not only did Panthers make the list but it isn't even good Panthers.

this contains 1 correct answer for guessers. Captain. Captain is either the easiest or 2nd easiest. 2 are what I would deem near impossible.

yeah, I think XL gets comical fan hate at this point. did he have some drops? Sure. He was basically in the same ballpark as Worthy, Coleman, Mitchell, etc. of the same draft class. Rookies. Happens. His career began on a team that had horrific QB play. Improved to meh QB play. And finished with a couple random "good" games graded on a Bryce curve. And it was literally just a couple. Not sure what people expect to happen in that situation and Bryce isn't the naturally pairing in terms of play style for a WR like XL (which we all acknowledged when we drafted him). I think XL leads the team in yards this year actually. I think father time officially catches AT this year. I think Tmac will have some legit growing pains (which is also fine).

I don’t feel XL actively is seeking all the attention he gets. Sometimes it approaches a border line of them making fun of him or using his uniqueness him for clicks. Especially last year.

right? they have a choice to to choose to make absurd money playing a game. a team has the right to protect themselves if the highly paid athletes like to dabble in say motocross in the offseason and to discourage that type activity. I mean, Mahomes can still go play pickup ball all offseason. He doesn't go to jail or get cut. But if he gets hurt.....it impacts his money. So he is discouraged from doing it....which IMO makes total sense. XL is basically a bona fide country kid with money. That means ATVs, horses, and all sorts of fun. I think the Panthers should discourage his risky fun.....just like with anyone else. ATV accidents happen all the time. You know why XL was so eager to help and was helpful? Because is clearly an ATV guy. Our hero didn't stumble across some stranger stuck. They were messing around as country folks do.

No one is upset. And what I referred has been happening. Patrick Mahomes has an offseason basketball clause in his contract. A ton of other physical activites like jet skiing, baseball and all sorts of physical activities are written into his contract. XL likely already has ATVs and stuff written into his contact. League already has been inserting a lot of that stuff into basic contracts for non-top tier players and we have seen it pan out.

XL needs his contract reworked already. Basically that outlaws him from being a country boy going forward.

Looks like I glanced at Delhomme vs Warner attempts back when AZ was sucking so bad. Larry Fitzgerald was bigger and more consistent than 89. God doesn't give everyone the same tools. I mean, if you shrunk Megatron and probably changes in his rank position. 89 was more entertaining. 89 quit on that 2010 team. 89 would often prioritize himself over the team and was a poo teammate (and we as a collective fanbase embrace so many of his demons). You didn't have that w/ Fitz. Same demons that make 89 literally not even run routes and show up for his team because he had to take plays off to "show" Richard Sherman something.......are the same demons that had him assault his teammates often w/ cheap shots. I would assume if most were building a team from scratch and have the option of Fitz vs 89.....Fitz is winning that in a landslide.

Fitz was also 6-3, with a bigger body, and fantastic all timer at going up for the ball (not that 89 wasn't but again the god given size factors). That could of had something to do w/ the targets. Also, when times got hard, Larry Fitz was the same dude for his team. Easier option. just glancing at the pass attempts by teams, Carolina edged AZ years than the other way around. I give Evans the edge too. 89 more entertaining than both though w/ the ball in his hands and just in general.

I consider last year Bryce's rookie year.....and I expect some regression/D adjustment in his second season in Canales' O. Film is film. So yeah, I agree....he won't be the dude that opened up the year week 1 or closed the door week 17. We will get some dude in between it all most likely. Which IMO puts us in a really awkward no man's land with Bryce.
