  1. “Matt, hear me out, RPO. Defenses won’t no what’s coming at them”.
  2. We had CMC and DJ and weeks of prep though
  3. Baker with the best game statistically on the season…..with a couple days prep, brand new team, missing their stud WR.
  4. Phil Snow is what Matt Rhule stood on as he faked his way through football. If I was Nebraska, Phil Snow would have had to be part of the deal if Rhule was coming. I mean, does anyone actually do their homework on these coaches before spending millions?
  5. Fun fact. here is a screen shot of me and Joe Horn talking on a zoom call today. He too said Jaycee is a shutdown corner. I don't know why he was wearing a helmet today. He sillier than you would think.
  6. Well the rest of the team still matters. We’ve had a much better overall roster than than the Bears. Better D and better skill talent around the QB. All the Bears have to do now is add some non bottom of the barrel talent around Fields.
  7. Hotter Take: Jayce Horn hasn’t even played a full season yet. He isnt suppose to be Revis Island yet. Revis wasn’t. Reality is Horn has been great when on the field. All that said, we should have drafted Fields. QB play is significantly more impactful than a DB. Especially for a team without one.
  8. I mean McVay is one of the best play callers around and he has one of the best WRs. I wouldn’t be shocked if he wasn’t the ultimate trainwreck. we really don’t do offense. I mean Baker sucks. But he might not be as bad some expect.
  9. reality is... Sam Darnold's worst season of a bad career was in Carolina Baker Mayfield's worst season of a disappointing career was in Carolina I mean, we like to blame them for sucking. And they do. But we made them extra horrible IMO
  10. well in theory it shouldn't happen only because of that..... I'd equate it to dating someone. They get drunk, take off their clothes and start dancing on the table at Applebees. You probably shouldn't keep dating them. And you shouldn't date them because that one moment.....was a red flag and foreshadowing of what will come later. Everyone is going to make mistakes. Especially in the lotto that is acquiring people to play football. That move by our GM just seems to be something different and a giant red flag. That's not smart business and not your run of the mill error IMO.
  11. I take the question as who the best for the Carolina Panthers. Heinicke had 1 TD in a Carolina uniform. So he doesn't register for me. But I agree, I'd most like to have him on the roster today based on what we have seen overall from the QBs in the NFL. So Heinicke is #1 on one way of looking at it and at the bottom the other way.
  12. I think that was pretty well documented. Phil Snow birthed the thought. Matt Rhule then got on board. Fitt IMO still should of lost his job for picking up the 5th year sight unseen.
  13. the Baker add was the only QB gamble that was actually a sound business move. Because he was dirt cheap. And that’s what you should do with bad QBs you want to gamble on…..so him not working out isn’t a big deal. I think it is safe to say that was still a Rhule move. In real time it was reported the front office was split on Baker. Which implied the split was Rhule/Fitt. And Baker fit the win now/show something scenario that only Rhule was in
  14. I’d take Harbaugh. probably too big of a personality for Tepper. Might be for most front offices.
  15. I mean, if I ran a more true pro style offense I would gamble on him. There just aren't tons of them in college anymore. Good kid. Good leader. Does it all the right way. That's what kept him in the starting role so long. Think his confidence is completely shot though. I personally think DJ ends up being a package deal with his brother. Think he is the #1 DE coming out of HS. He has a pretty involved dad that mixes it up with stuff.
  16. well, Rhule pretty much did acknowledge and give Cam his props for what he did behind the scenes. Rhule didn't know how to deal w/ a NFL team. and I think Rhule even said Cam was actually one of the few people he called to thank after he got fired.
  17. I mean, it's a results-based business. Give me the only QB with a winning record.
  18. Cutting Cam/signing Bridgewater. I think that would have set us up differently. Also, I think that 1 year with Cam to start would have been good for Rhule. Because The Brand was bullshit. And Cam essentially called it out politely when he returned. Rhule basically acknowledged that Cam had the right mindset on and off the field. Rhule could of learned a lot and then parted with Cam. But I'm glad it finished how it did. I got no interested in a coach learning on the job the degree Rhule needed.
  19. it wasn't intentional. Just quick. Updated QB A: 56%, 196 yard avg, 4 TDs, 6 INTs, 1 FL, 1 rush TD QB B: 57%, 167 yard avg, 3 TDs, 5 INTs, 2 FL, 1 rush TD I said their last 6 starts, so yeah, this skips over the the Cincy game for Baker and the Tampa game for Sam. Neither started. Both played. I went back 6 starts because going back further obviously puts Baker on different team. And it's a what have you done for me lately league. They suck. You are the one expressing outrage because someone else argued Baker was still better than trash Darnold. Why would you even care someone said that? I remember when I called out trash McAdoo. The Rhule/McAdoo era is what you are referencing. I remember Wilks talking about how they were going to change some things and it was evident game 1 of Wilks that a new offensive thumbprint was put down. So yeah, defenses no longer are keying in on McAdoo's RPO bullshit every snap that went down under Rhule. Wilks too old school for that. He just runs the damn ball at people now. Which is what Rhule should of had McAdoo doing. Funny how you ignore that. Rhule is a clown and let McAdoo do clown things. Now Wilks just runs at people. Sam is horrific. Baker is horrific. Who cares about either. and Matt Rhule would probably be employed today if he started PJ Walker and actually ran and emphasized the run like he talked about (and never actually did). He couldn't even manage to get McAdoo to do the basics he preached on. I mean, it's hard to argue that Steve Wilks didn't alter what McAdoo was doing on O.
  20. was spoke on last year, but DJ was always a round peg in a square hole. Clemson's offense is what it is. You have to fit into it. He never fit what they do schematically. He is too slow physically and with his reads. DJ's natural offense is a pro style offense. That's not Clemson. They made him lose a bunch of weight to see if he could fit better and encourage him to run this year but it was still forced play. Simply put it was the wrong system for him to try to grow in. And he never grew as a result. Cade also lead that double digit comeback to beat Syracuse and save what was at the time an undefeated season. They had legit defense and were playing with a lead and momentum. If you can't get excited about Cade.....then you can't really get excited about any player on your college team. Why wouldn't you be excited about what was the #1 overall QB coming out of HS.....whose only 2 appearances with real snaps to play was a comeback win and ACC title game win?
  21. Cade was the #1 QB in the country coming out of HS too though. Clemson has him. Clemson is also adding the #6 QB this upcoming season to be behind Cade. Not sure why DJ leaving is an argument the talent is falling off. DJU was horrible. Just a physically talented kid that isn't actually good at playing QB. 2022 class was top 10. Clemson's 2023 class is presently rated as the #8.
