DJ Moore set the franchise back YEARS by taking his helmet off.

I see what you did here.... a sly pro PJ Walker thread. -
I think some of that is Bill Belichick often struggled w/ QBs who play outside of a set structure and could ad lib. Watson had a lot of success vs Bill. Cam did. Think Lamar has.

How did they mess up so bad with Mayfield and Darnold,

Panther Ring of Honor. end of list. His one bright spot is celebrating the accomplishments under the prior owner. -

Sam Darnold and Baker are basically the same dudes they have always been....only changes have been what has existed around them. In Carolina, they had bad coaching and bad talent. So you get bad side of that equation. If Sam Darnold was in Carolina and 70% of the targets went to Justin Jefferson, a RB or a TE......he would have sucked less here. We didn't have the means to allow that. -
2011 they are doing the same G working w/ C snap work MVP season, same G working w/ the C snap work. It's not literally every play. But it's in most of the base O for Cam in Carolina. And that's with a STUD center.
-
Think it's just a product of living in the shotgun. They snapped the ball like that with Cam most of his career in the shotgun. G looking back and tapping the C. Highlight reel from 2011 or 2015 show it.

I don't get how we pick and choose sometimes. I mean, Brooks was taken in Canales' first draft. Hubbard was paid midway through Canales' first season. Is he not picking them?
-
Evero is a victim of lack of talent. He runs a 3-4. That's what he is brought in here to run. Then we go into the season with a glaring lack of talent even when fully healthy. That was a front office decision. Then, he loses his best overall defender and key DL player in Brown at the kickoff of the season.

I'm fine w/ Canales' top down rah rah leadership. I think Canales being our OC is a problem. Especially for a young QB. Go get a legit OC. Pairing a QB that needs to grow with a play caller that needs to grow is pointless bad math. And that's if Canales was just the OC. But he also is learning how to be a HC on top of still trying to develop himself as a good playcaller. The design of how Carolina goes about stuff is always off. What Bryce Young should of always been given from day 1. A creative and experience playcaller w/ a legit rec RB and a dynamic slot WR. Boom. Easy. You can find legit rec RBs and quick/reliable slot WRs pretty easy.

Officially Eliminated from Playoffs
CRA replied to Leeroy Jenkins Ph.D.'s topic in Carolina Panthers
nah, we are still trying to develop and grow Bryce Young. You can't shelf Hubbard out of fear of injury. You bench Hubbard and the run game goes backwards. Run game goes backwards, everything goes backwards. One game shouldn't change anything. Bryce had 2 bad fumbles that fugged this game up in reality. That shouldn't erase what this team was doing with him and what he has been doing in the big picture. -
We were running it effectively early. We just turned the ball over 1st drive - we averaged 5.2 yards per carry. Hubbard had 10 carries on the day. 5 of those carries came on the opening drive. Bryce fumble to end it. 2nd drive 3 and out. 3rd drive - we averaged 5.3 yards per carry. Bryce INT to end it. It was a pretty normal day rushing in reality the first half. then an early turnover to start the 2nd half really put us behind the 8 ball. we have 4 rush attempts the entire 2nd half. 3 came on the lone TD drive. Turnovers killed the rush attack. I can handle the AT INT. The other 2 were brutal.

Horn isn’t feared around the league to the extent to demand that type BS gameplan.
-
Not true. Canales has THE most expensive OL in the NFL. They are good. He has a good run game and very reliable RB. You give that to basically any good NFL coach….and they will find a way for pretty good offense. Canales isn’t a good OC. Never has been. I don’t care to wait on him to develop and grow. Go hire an OC. Let him call plays. Be a HC

Opposing defenses probably wouldn’t let scrubs cover him all game though

Jaycee Horn is relatively pointless in Evero’s defense. Horn out their covering nobodies and TEs while Lamb feats on whoever he wants

Jeanty also outperformed the last couple Heisman RBs. Hunter was not close to those who won it before him at those spots. Hunter got it for being really good at 2 spots over someone great at one who also carried his team to the CFP and a conference title via that greatness it’s like giving the NFL MVP to some unicorn watching the NFL playoffs from his couch. Fan vote clearly got it right. Heisman voters leaned toward popularity in the end IMO

someone asked why he had a 1 million buyout built into his deal that essentially is effective immediately (June). I answered that question. feel free to share a better reason for the absurd buyout if it isn’t for the built in flexibility to part ways (for both sides). Dabo’s buyout next year is $60 million as a comparable. Deion ain’t got nothing to do with this, it’s just you forcing it into the convo

So he can leave to do what he actually wants if he can find a way back in. Think he ideally wants to be in the NFL and getting those wins.

So…SEC COY goes to a guy that won 3 SEC games. Think you had to give that Beamer

Not sure about Abdul Carter just yet...
CRA replied to blueandblackattack's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn't equate him to Isaiah Simmons. Simmons came into the league much more positionless. The fits everywhere and yet nowhere guy. -
ONE OF US!

definitely not #All In to get that fine print to kick in before the first season even kicks off

Well, I think if we had the hypothetical discussion on Bill coming to college a month ago….we would be basically Brady and Gronk laughing at it together. I mean there is a path for it to work. A path for Dabo to win his 3rd natty I guess too. I don’t think they are high % plays. I think we will know fairly quick if BB’s brand means that much in college football. Have to see who leaves and jumps in the portal for him.
