  1. Depends. I guess if Clemson is only the 2nd half team vs the #1 team in the nation they can’t beat State. But maybe State is really more that first half team that couldn’t handle Western Carolina if we just pick and choose a half
  2. I suspect when Dabo is done at Clemson he will be done with football. but the Dabo/Clemson talk is just silly. Acting like his historic run is supposed to be sustainable and that being a consistent top 25 program year in and year out is somehow embarrassing is silly if you zoom out lol. Dabo isn’t looking for a new school. No power 5 school is going to let him in there to try to remake what he did with Clemson. It’s a different era. Dabo has the keys and power to do whatever he wants in Clemson and does. Rightfully so. Clemson’s dark times are still better than what So Car, No Car, etc are doing. Like I said, anyone outside Clemson wanting Dabo fired just want bad things for Dabo and Clemson. They are not wanting good things for Clemson football
  3. I mean, how many SEC teams UGA and Bama embarrassed over the years and will this year too. Lot of folks don’t belong in the SEC
  4. College football is broken though. Dabo was right about most of all that in reality. It needs to be fixed IMO….not so much Dabo join the problem. the fix is probably in the middle but I don’t care if Dabo does his thing. Frankly there should be a place for that model in college football. Folks acting like Dabo/Clemson are the modern day Temple Owls or some poo lol. They ain’t present day UGA. That’s a long list of basically every power 5 school. And a week 1 game vs the #1 team in got ugly in the 2nd half.
  5. Last 3 seasons is the Dabo is finished and Clemson is done era. Fire Dabo era. Meanwhile, it’s 3 straight winning seasons. 30-10. Top 25 finish each of them. His bad is still the best that is being done in the ACC. they aren’t competing for a natty each year. Frankly, that’s like 4 programs in reality year in and year out. Clemson fans wanting Dabo fired are just emotional and not realistic about college football IMO. People outside of the fanbase that want him fired? They don’t want Clemson to be good lol. They aren’t looking out for Clemson. They want to see bad things happen to someone they dislike lol
  6. I mean, Clemson is the best program in the ACC….and that as this letdown version of Clemson (big picture they are) so what do you do…realistically? You lose Dabo and most likely….you just get worse. Clemson had a HISTORIC run with Dabo. Overshadowed by the fact it was occurring as Saban did his thing. But maintaining that was never realistic. In reality, when Clemson was competing for nattys on a consistent basis their rosters were never comparable top to bottom with who they competed with. Clemson’s bad is still a dream for almost all ACC programs. I can handle Clemson’s version of bad. hypothetically the grass is greener….odds favor that if they move from Dabo that it will predictably be a bad decision with much worse results. *some great Dabo means going around Twitter right now though
  7. Clemson generally has an elite defensive front. They have that still. That’s also different than an elite overall defense. Not sure Clemson has ever had that Clemson’s pass game simply hasn’t existed the last 3 seasons. This should be a 4th. the D front is good. Saw that today. UGA wasn’t winning the line of scrimmage vs them today. UGA eventually conceded that and went outside. I assume the backend is weaker this year as Clemson opted not to bring their normal pressure packages. But they 100% got an elite D front as always
  8. Clemson always has a good defensive front Clemson generally never has good backend play
  9. It’s just the 4th straight year of an identical team. I mean, that’s Dabo. He is the reason for that. Problem is, Clemson will likely compete for the ACC title in the end. So Dabo will then get to say his way works. That’s the dilemma they have. Clemson got to figure out what they want to be. You want to compete for a natty in this new era? Got to move on from your GOAT. Want to be ACC good every year? Keep Dabo
  10. Jeebus, got to watch this same poo show for a 4th straight year. Another season, with no functional QB play. How do both my college and pro teams mimic each other so consistently for 4 straight years.
  11. I don’t disagree with that. I think they likely win the ACC. I just don’t care much about that. That’s the curse of success. Expectations change.
  12. legit point, people often forget LSU was down in the 2nd q in that natty….and Burrow then was sort of forced into a new gameplan deep. Which worked in spades for him.
  13. Well, when it came time to fix this front office….the answer was on the roster.
  14. well, Clemson had their window. I was hoping for just a little improvement on O. But Dabo just answered the question IMO about the pass game with the playcalling early in this one. seen this movie to many times. Ending of this movie is just too predictable. Another wasted Clemson D…that’s about to crumble with too much weight on them.
  15. He won the natty throwing downfield on Clemson.
  16. I think both these teams have some of the best defensive fronts in college football…..and therefore neither can run and when they can’t run they can’t do much. It’s basically a replay of the last UGA/Clem matchup where UGA’s offense did nothing. but that’s not going to apply the rest of the season. Both these teams will win that run matchup against most of their opponents
  17. Beck reminds of all the Bama QBs prior to Tua/Hurts. He is smart and good….playing with arguably the best roster in football
  18. I mean, Clemson has a good D last 5 quarters UGA has played vs a Clemson team they have zero offensive TDs.
  19. Clemson playing too conservative on O. UGA gonna slowly pull away with both playing that brand of football. They need to add Cade into the run too. Mafah needs more room to get up to speed and downhill. That’s when he gets tough
  20. In fairness, Saban was just acknowledging the spread….not calling the win. The win part is me
  21. Even Saban picked Clemson. That 13.5 spread was too much. Like I said earlier in the week. but unlike Saban, Imma tell you right now as the noon drinks flow through my body…Clemson bout to shock the world!!
  22. Probably not that much 49% of the roster is 27 and above It’s no big deal but I think it does sort of highlight how the Panthers live in a no man’s land in terms of vision and planning. The win now and rebuilding all at the same time approach which has been the “plan” ever since Rhule. we should of rebuilt when Ron left. We never committed to such
  23. Probably not the ideal setup for what was the 32nd ranked team in the NFL and in a rebuilding/retooling window
  24. I’ll wait to judge. Ron is a good human. So I’ll root for him. Everyone on those shows can’t be a personality trying to entertain. Ron probably got some good D takes
  25. I just remember his bad hands at Clemson…I’d rather them be adding youth to the PS
