  1. Nothing overblown about Tepper at this stage. Tepper has 5 seasons in the books as the Panthers owner. 5 different men have taken the field as our HC in that time span. Tepper has a soccer team. 3 years in. 3 different men have taken the field as their HC. Frankly, Tepper being in a small market with teams no one cares about..... gets less heat than someone in a different city would be getting.
  2. yeah, Tepper most likely has been very involved in all of our bad trades. The constant. Because we have traded a lot of top players and capital. and general grade there is pretty bad.
  3. I think the over/under on the Panthers this year is 5.5 wins. If they hit the over, I will be your hero.
  4. it's the good old boys network.....in the NFL you can be horrific, and then go get a job in a different front office or coaching staff.
  5. It’s actually a light hearted fun interaction between the two…people being silly. Two Panthers GOATs. I don’t think people listen or read the exchanges based on the posts above. Oh well.
  6. I thought finishing with the Creed song playing was pretty funny. But I understand, I'll stick with the greatest hits of bashing Tepper, Bryce, etc.
  7. Christian McCaffrey Reacts to Cam Newton's Wedding Snub Video with Greg Olsen Convo | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors | Bleacher Report pretty funny I think
  8. but does he? I mean, if Jim Caldwell was paired up with Tepper to decide to hire Dan Morgan and Dave Canales.....who does he really report to. I wish Caldwell wasn't here or part of that. With all the surviving Game of Thrones talk and folks running to Tepper....I don't like the optics with Jim Caldwell. It's sort of hard to deny through the chaos he rose the Panther ladder.
  9. Makes sense...if he had never left the league he would already have a decade in the rearview. So physically even if he kept his head on his shoulders.....he is in the physical decline window. And that's all there was to bet on with him. Those physical tools. Nothing to bet on then.
  10. I didn't realize he was in the XFL this past year. Wonder how he did there. I mean, the dude was a freak. I thought he was out of football and thus way way out of shape. I mean, not saying we should, but if he has been playing he might be worth a camp tire kick for some team.
  11. Bryant IMO was easily the most physically talented WR IMO that has come out of Clemson. Just didn't have it above the shoulders to prioritize football. He had it all. But dude hasn't played in the NFL in a half decade. It's pointless to talk about him IMO. But I hope he is in a better path these days.
  12. I mean, if all your starting WR can do is catch….that by default that should make him a situational role player. It’s 2024. It’s an offensive league. Thielen being a starter and dominating play time 100% lowers the offensive ceiling. Theilen isn’t a deep threat. He isn’t a YAC threat. He can’t run. He is a safe rec TE in reality in terms of production/play. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have a role but he should be a role player. Even Theilen himself said the league viewed him that way….well except the worst O in the NFL. * no doubt he was the best thing about the last year. That makes us skew things. We just comically force feed him. But he wasn’t good given the volume he got.
  13. Mingo comes in with a higher ceiling IMO than the other 2. Hard to disagree we have lacked diversity as they are all fairly similar in style. Gotta just hope the law of averages eventually applies and hit on one. Would be nice to hit on the one with the highest ceiling.
  14. The definition of freak athlete with no positional home in the NFL
  15. I don't know anyone that went mini van and regretted it with small children. But there does seem to be some mental hurdle for some folks to going to the van life. and it's hard to find captain seat 2nd row SUVs. And those are the only bearable ones IMO.
  16. I'm anti SUV with small children (specifically if you need a 3rd row) unless you get a ride that has captain seats in the 2nd row. Otherwise, the 3rd row is an utter nightmare.
  17. Canales' entire NFL career has been consistent in terms of the type pass games he has been part of. And it runs counter to Bryce Young. It's about the deep ball and chunk pass plays. Wilson, Geno, Baker. No exception.
  18. my best guess is we technically see more offense. More yards. More scores. But also more turnovers and bad play since that is not Bryce Young's game. And with a D taking a step back.....I just don't see us being much better overall. Ball could of bounced our way last year in a game or two. I expect the law of averages says we might win a couple this year we didn't last year. end of the day, top 10 pick and the board is consumed on the debate about moving up for X QB.
  19. yeah, it's hard to expect much... given those that brought you the 24th ranked O last season.....got lesser talent to work with this year overall. Then the icing on the cake....is Bryce clearly doesn't fit the Canales pass attack. Which is all about the deep ball. Baker chucked it deep more than anyone in the NFL last year. That's what brought about the Geno comeback as well. It just seems like 2024 is a round peg/square whole O IMO with our QB.
  20. I really liked XL. But I'm not expecting much from him this year given he is paired with Bryce. I just think for XL to shine with his talents.....he needs a downfield gambler. I think Brooks will slowly be brought along and we don't see his debut until in season. That's our top 3 rounds...and really where you would be looking for rookie impact. Rest should more than likely be developmental and have minimal impact. So I expect fans to get down on our draft picks early. I think the G play could get praise but C being such a wildcard (as well as Canales' run game) has that as not the lock I think some have it has. Plus, I think Bryce simply can make the OL look bad given his size the problem he has in so many traditional settings/placement in the pocket.
  21. O takes a step forward D a step backwards End result is a team that is picking in the top 10. Who knows how the ball bounces. I'd say about 5ish wins.
  22. yeah, I always go back to Curtis Samuel. We basically got 1 season of using him how he was always supposed to be used. Johnson and Mingo on the outside. Mingo in the slot. Theilen situationally on 3rd down when you just need a catch to a marker.
  23. Theilen didn't crack the top 100 in terms of yards per catch. Theilen didn't crack the top 100 in terms of yards after the catch Theilen is washed. Him being on the field so much limits us. He should be situational. Not a starter. He wasn't actually a good thing for the O last year. He just happened to be functional. And Thielen himself I think admitted that only Carolina disagreed with that.
