Problem is Shenault is a bad WR. That happens to be really good with the ball in his hands. You can only scheme him up so much. But yeah, he might be the best on the team with the ball in his hands
  2. He said it’s not a rebuild because we have not won in a half decade and Fitt was supposed to be part of the Rhule era rebuild (which never was one). Was a clusterfug off nothing is instead. That’s lip service because of the the annoyed audience. all new coaches, all new schemes, rookie QB starting, traded away CMC and DJ Moore. That’s a rebuild. If it isn’t, rebuilds don’t exist.
  3. I don’t like what Fitt has done. Haven’t for a bit. But this is a rebuild. Next draft IMO should be like that first Dave one but offensive. Go draft some offensive skill guys. And then pay attention to free agents that might come up. But no letting Fitt mess with our assets. I think big picture he has done a very bad job with the management of our assets and trades. and I don’t get the CMC or DJ trade really. Should have just kept them both. If we were going to develop a #1 overall QB. Give up Derrick Brown and figure out something else to get Young. Just doesn’t seem worth it in the end what we did.
  4. Cam era was so good….people outside the Carolina’s actually cared.
  5. True. Cam era was the best we have ever seen. It was a fun time.
  6. I actually liked the fact Cam handled losing so poorly big picture. The game meant everything to young Cam. Most of the league is just business and paychecks in reality. and late in his career he eventually became largely a textbook podium guy. And that’s also when the magic was gone.
  7. Rhule never dips his toe in year 3 with a decently run org.
  8. Our playcalling and skill talent requires too much from a rookie QB. Requires him to play at a high level for success.
  9. As far as TMJ goes, IMO that’s just a WR being lazy not wanting to waste energy on a decoy route….and then it just happened to go that way. He didn’t think it was coming IMO. Think everyone was surprised. Chark IMO can’t be considered anything. He isn’t reliable enough. Just a bonus. He can do the job when healthy though
  10. we got no speed to threaten vertically. And if a D doesn’t respect the threat …..it makes coverage easier. Because you end up taking half the guessing out of the equation for a DB. They know everything is in front of them and play it that way.

Saints finished last season top 5 on D. Also top 5 in sacks. Safe assumption, it will be a tougher challenge for the O next week.
  12. You just have to look at the run/pass ratio. Pass rushers need the opponent to pass to impact the game. Atlanta had 8 pass attempts in the 2nd half.
  13. We aren’t going to threaten teams downfield this season. Talked about it before the season started. And when you don’t have the talent and playcalls to do it….it makes life hard on a QB. Especially in the NFL without the talent/scheme that allows folks to be open quick. Chark will help whenever healthy. He has the talent/ability. But it’s a one man job here. And that’s not really Young’s game. That’s my issue with his skill talent. It just doesn’t do him favors or match Young’s game yet. Wish they could have done better there. But it’s year one.
  14. Yep, Theilen should be a #3 providing vet leadership to guys ahead of him and when on the field can be counted on to always do the right thing. That was Ricky Proehl. A role player/mentor. Not a starting WR.
  15. Doesn’t help Young his WRs can get separation. Think that plays into the staring down. Windows are small. and our talent and playcalls pose no threat downfield. That’s allows a D to play different
  16. I think Richardson and Stroud have higher ceilings than Young But entering the league? I think Bryce is the best passer today. I’m not talking arm talent. Largely think he was just ahead of them upstairs.
  17. well, Young’s debut was noticeably less productive and efficient than theirs…. and likely had the easiest matchup and viewed as the most pro ready. so if it’s not the coaching and talent around them players…what would you put the pretty stark difference most on?
  18. CMC at least suited up every game for his first 3 seasons and plays RB. And he plays RB.
  19. No point trading Horn. His value won’t be high. Too injury prone to date.
  20. Horn makes Jeff Otah seem durable And Otah logged 9 more games through his first two seasons. And those were 16 game seasons. Otah is a pretty good comp. Otah was essentially pro bowl caliber out the gate. He just couldn’t stay on the field.
  21. CJ Stroud: 63% comp, 242 pass yards, 20 rush, 1 FUM vs Ravens D. A. Rich: 64% comp, 223 pass yards, 40 rush, 2 TDs, 1 INT vs Jags D Young: 52% comp, 146 pass yards, 17 rush, 1 TD, 2 INTs vs Falcons D All the rookies finished the day with a L but that’s to be expected. I clearly I think Bryce Young is the best passer of all the rookie QBs. So, I think that’s is something this org should at least acknowledge. The other 2 orgs did a better job setting their rookie QB up for some success in their debut. I think those stats/productions are largely more about everyone and everything else around the QB. Front office, coaching and talent. * hard to gauge the quality of opponent this early. You would assume Stroud might have had the toughest challenge.
  22. I mean Ricky Proehl’s best season was 400 something yards here. Ricky was a roleplayer.
  23. Then don’t hire him. Don’t hire a young exciting dude with potential from a great tree. Whose 2nd half playcalling was better all preseason. Hire an experienced OC and let him do it. Frank isn’t a good playcaller. That’s not new. He should focus on being the HC. Was talked all preseason and when he first announced he would keep doing it here after getting fired for it
