  1. https://theramswire.usatoday.com/2024/01/29/rams-panthers-ejiro-evero-contract-defensive-coordinator/ this article references his deal of having 1 year left when the talk was about him being blocked from leaving last year.
  2. Averaging 59% completion, 180 yards Claiming that’s top 5 anything the last 2 weeks just ain’t going sell outside of a segment of the huddle
  3. I still think the XL stuff is getting silly. Some guy broke down this week for example. XL basically had 1 ball where he timed his jump wrong trying to go over the top of someone and should have had that one…..but thats it on Sunday. That’s the only actual “bad” play by XL. The others were a pretty obvious PI that the announcers oddly just talked through and ignored, a Bryce over throw and a Bryce under throw. Leggtte caught the other 5. Not a bad game at all from the rookie in reality.
  4. Wait, Evero won’t be fired. His contract is up. So he just walks I guess
  5. Bryce Young has not been balling the last 3 weeks. He was horrible vs Dallas. Hubbard balled vs the Cardinals. Bryce ok this week in a bad offensive outing for the team. Bryce has shown some improvement on aspects of his game there we all should be glad to see. Now we are just blowing smoke because of it. Bryce balling right now is the equivalent of Sam should be in the MVP race or Robbie Anderson is better than DJ Moore type huddle inventions.
  6. I admittedly wasn’t glued to the game. I know XL catching everything he deserves and then some. but I know Bryce throws a lot of bad balls that get almost no talk these days… I remember XL had his guy beat deep and Bryce drastically under threw him as well. Basically the textbook Canales ball for his O.
  7. Eagles OL/Jalen threat gives everyone a boost. Good and bad. Barkley now a 2k back. Swift back to just okay.
  8. Miles definitely ranking on the all time horrific FA signings wall of shame.
  9. Jeremy Chinn having a pretty strong season on Washington. They seem to love him. Evero had no use for him. Was always head scratcher there
  10. Evans was out for several weeks with a hammy. During that stretch Baker averaged about 70%, 225, and 2 TDs per game. I mean does Tampa have better talent on offense than Carolina then?
  11. The QB and Canales are also part of the equation of how that story unfolds though. Canales and Bryce often just are outplayed by the opposing sidelines in game after that opening series over and over this year.
  12. Well, Carolina had 10 drives. So they put up points on 20% of their opportunities to do so. Tampa should have been at 88% but showed us mercy at the end by not scoring. and some consider this part of the promising Bryce offensive era which is a bit baffling to me.
  13. Well, Carolina going 3 straight drives accumulating a total of -6 combined yards…..has a lot to with Tampa dominating possession in a half too.
  14. when they fire Evero….they need to send Dom Capers packing too.
  15. Every WR is going to fit teams and schemes different IMO. Which has basically been my argument/view for some time. Nothing really fits together that well. Plan/vision hasn’t been here. So much of success is about fit and where you go. Think that involves a version of pickiness. Not just expecting anyone can do anything. Who knows. These dudes should just make me GM. I’d sign PJ Walker, I’d play WR and we could all be happy,
  16. to me the roles/position often can matter greatly for most players. You put AT in the slot 100% of the snaps for 3 games and then do it XL.....I suspect AT outperforms XL by a noteworthy margin. I'm not sure AT could even really outperform XL on the outside of note in this Carolina O. So that's a pretty big difference. Even youngsters. Go back in time to Curtis Samuel. 2 very different players. Outside vs slot. One generate a very solid WR. One generated meh WR. Then there are the prime 89s. Who are almost just as dangerous no matter the spot.
  17. I just don't think you can play 2024 AT anywhere and get the same type reliability. In 2024, he makes for a solid starting slot option. You put him on the outside, he is not a solid starting option. So you nerf him for Ladd. I'd love to see what his production is on the season lined up outside. Which I think is about just 25% of his snaps (using a fantasy site on that). That's why he made it to Carolina because he could no longer get it done out there.
  18. Ok. You drafted Ladd. Where you playing Ladd. Where you playing AT I think the XL math just presents the highest ceiling (if he was what we thought he was).....because you get two in their ideal positions on the field. Vs just 1.
  19. that big time throw definition....I think makes it sort of a misleading stat.
  20. I'm just not convinced this team has ever had the right vision for Bryce. All that stuff matters. NFL isn't just a raw talent league. Where you land matters. The O matters. The scheme matters. I think Bryce has done well improving.....given I still think he is a square peg largely in our round hole. If starting from scratch, the Frank nor Canales O is what I would have dreamed up for Bryce to be in. Nor would I dream up AT, XL, Hubbard as the key investment for his O. It's not about not liking anyone. I just don't see the big picture in it all. People think I hate AT now. I don't. I just value quick/YAC guys at the slot and in the backfield if I am rolling w/ Bryce Young. I've said that since the day we drafted him. Just what I believe you got to offer him. And I don't think Canales' scheme is creative enough to scheme guys open and for the YAC types to thrive. I dislike the big picture marriages under Tepper. Not so much anyone in particular.
  21. someone made an analogy on social media about Aaron Rodgers I loved. Jets getting Aaron Rodgers is the equivalent of hooking up with your high school crush....only you hook up with the divorced, unemployed, 40 year old, 4 kids later version of her. Aaron Rodgers is not Aaron Rodgers. Zach Wilson would be outperforming him this year in NY. He is so unlikable, it's enjoyable to watch. I don't know if there is really an NFL comparable of where I think Bryce Young's ceiling will is. It's somewhere around Teddy Bridgewater. But with better legs and more slippery. I mean, that's not an insult to Bryce. It will be taken as that by many. Teddy B was a legit starting QB. He just isn't what most of us dream of.
  22. if you drafted Ladd, he wouldn't need to be a understudy.....he would just need to take ATs spot/role. See this season with the Chargers as the proof. As a rookie, Ladd is outperforming anything AT has done in a half decade on the field. It's why I would love AT to stay if he was an outside #2. My AT issue is he plays the slot role and is too old to move outside. That was the Ladd issue of the draft. Both are suited for 1 role/job on the field. That means you put one on the bench or make the other less effective by playing them outside their ideal role. XL presented the option to put 2 WRs in places they would both shine to their max.
  23. and if you take out just 2 games from his stats (the concussion game and the garbage time game where he didn't really play in either) which skew his numbers drastically.... Maye is out performing post benching Bryce in New England across the board as a rookie in basically every metric in a bad situation. More efficient and more production. Bryce has improved. But he isn't good yet. We have let how bad it was impact how we view it now.
  24. well, then we just disagree on that. I do not think Carolina has the worst supporting cast around the QB in the NFL. Several comparable spots in the league on the offensive side of the ball. Bryce still is missing way too many throws. Too many bad throws. Only Anthony Richardson is worse in that department. Since he has improved, some of that stuff isn't getting acknowledged like it should.
