Robbie/y on I Am Athlete podcast speaking on Sam & Baker
CRA replied to Mills's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m not saying he should be honest. I got no problem with him essentially lying about it now. That’s the play. It’s frankly not a big deal to me. but I think it’s funny people want to act like Robbie wasn’t dissing Baker in reality -

Pacman Jones “come on bruh you can be honest” lol doesn’t look like anyone there believed anything Robbie wanted to say publicly. -
I always find it funny how super homers trying to paint everything as some sick hatred. Jimmy Clausen just really sucked as a NFL QB. Being certain of such early on….isn’t some twisted hatred of the human. Matt Rhule sucks. Really bad as a NFL coach. And that was largely a pretty predictable outcome. NFL and college are essentially two completely different games on and off the field. He is a college coach. i doubt anyone would be really upset if their college team hired Matt Rhule.

Here is Matt telling Baker and Sam about the DBO sign
-
Big picture, it's all about the QB. But if you have a good coach and a well built team......you shouldn't be a bottom feeder if you are just missing the QB. Bottom feeder teams are missing more than a QB.
-
but but but I was told by Rhule fan boys Joe Brady (the guy whose MO is attacking deep) demanded checkdown Teddy Bridgewater and then demanded one read Sam turnover machine. Matt Rhule has no idea how to build anything. That much is clear. No pairings have ever made sense.
-
some pretty good and well recognized actors in there. Congrats!

I don't think Baker gives a poo. You wouldn't want a QB he really cared what any WR really says let alone a non-89 level player. But pretending Robbie was defending Sam and buying that whack narrative being sold is just something I see no need to do.

weird, Baylor got punished and basically had 2 down seasons as a result...and was right back to being Baylor. building from the ashes? Jay Z's cousin's mom or something apparently said that takes like 7 years to build something from the ground up. So that's not what happened there.
-
this the boos had to be stopped. They went the Cam route. That bought a couple weeks. It wasn't going to be enough. Then they threw Brady out there. Which didn't and wasn't going to change anything. But give the angry fans some satisfaction something we being done. Rhule has to win this year. Because there is no Cam or coach fire to appease to booing masses this upcoming seaosn. And there is no arguement that he can stay employed if he is being booed out of the stadium starting midseason to the end.

odd, he clearly didn't give a fug about Sam feelings when it came to other QBs or other positional players he lobbied should be replaced by guys. Robbie mouthed off his feelings about a QB the Panthers added. And he has been tasked w/ the proper PR. No big deal. But it clearly is what happened. And yeah, he meant it. Baker isn't dumb.
-
Oh, I know his buddies added that. Yet there was no talk about Robbie going on. He just randomly happened to be on an episode that drops directly after Baker is added. I'm sure the Panthers talked to Robbie about the Baker thing and his tweets.
-
Robbie just happens to go to I AM ATHLETE right after Baker signs. That's straight up player PR. These player shows are there to help players out.

He called the plays on 3rd and long and inside the 10 at LSU. He wasn't the OC. But he was part of it.

what type college programs make it into the AP top 10 4 years straight? and before that made it into the top 25 every year? Rhule gets some credit for dealing w/ the punishment. But he didn't turn Baylor into something new or doing anything unique there IMO
-
Baylor pre Rhule AP poll highs 2016 - #8 2015 - #2 2014 -#4 2013 -#3 Baylor got punished. But Rhule didn't make Baylor into a program it wasn't. It was a place to play football.
-
Temple improved. I always felt Rhule got too much credit for Baylor. They got punished. And then went back to being what they were before being punished. They were in the top 10 every year pre-Rhule/punishment.

he had Sam Darnold, a bad OL, and a rookie RB who couldn't catch as his primary cooking ingredients. Maybe he sucks. But who doesn't get "figured out" when asked to cook w/ that. That's what everyone ignores about Brady's one disappointing season in college and pro ball. No OC is going to make an O work week in and week out w/ that. You become too limited in your options of what you can call. Sam Darnold can turn the perfect playcall into a bust of a play. And you already are limited with him to begin with. Chris Simms did a good job breaking down how Sam screws up basic plays that should work. Joe Brady might of been a problem. Bigger problem clearly was Rhule and what he gave Brady IMO.
-
I mean, seperate OC from HC. His reviews as a HC were absolutely brutal and he got a quick exit. And basically was outcasted from the league because it went so bad. We were just talking decision making. Best way to view decision making of McAdoo is when he was the boss/HC. McAdoo IMO was clearly viewed as a poor one. From how he dealt w/ people to managing a game. His HC time is the best indicator of his actual decisions making.... so I just don't buy him being some great positive there to balance out Rhule. Can McAdoo run a normal NFL practice and prep? Which we haven't had under Rhule? Yes. If Rhule lets him. That would be the positive of McAdoo.

It’s still pretty top heavy of late….with too much noise coming from fans living off the fact they simply play in the conference and that’s it IMO. That’s the most annoying part IMO, fans of teams that don’t do anything talking about playing in the SEC. When they can’t even beat okay teams in weak conferences on a Sat

I mean how FSU or Miami haven’t at least had a fluke good year at some point of late is just mind boggling. I mean I know Miami had the turnover chain season but that wasn’t even a good year when it came down to it. really odd what has happened to the 3 FL schools. All went from powerhouses to almost completely irrelevant. Too much talent you would think in state for all 3 to fall off
-
being a Clemson fan frankly has been a bore of late. Few games interesting. The Gamecock rivalry is basically dead because the talent gap is getting too big. I actually tuned in more often last season with DJ struggling because their was actual doubt for a change going in to Saturday. Winning without a pass attack is tough. But I doubt Clemson strikes out on 2 back to back 5 star #1 QB prospects so I think it likely gets boring again if Cade takes over.
