I think head to head is overpriortized this year in CFP. They wouldn’t jump SC over Bama or Ole Miss…and should have. Then Clemson beats a #8 SMU team to win a title and they can’t move them up and value a title because of the SC head to head. AP seems to have done better in that section minus where they got Bama. They should be behind SC like Ole Miss. They got Miami rightfully behind Clemson.

CFP can’t decide what a conference championships mean or don’t mean. Clemson beats a #8 SMU to be ACC champs…..move up only 1 spot from 17 to 16. Miami at stays at 13. I think what the committee really is saying is don’t play anyone outside your conference and titles are largely meaningless. Final record and then head to head are the focus points (SEC teams just out show that)

ACC Champions 8 of the last 10 years! Clemson can’t help the CFP playoff is what it is and that they will be in….with a host of other teams that also don’t belong. Tough to win games when you got no run game. A hurt Phil Mafah on the field the last 2 games is just painful to watch. It’s like watching a FB with heavy ankle weights on run. And it put way too much on the shoulders of Clemson’s QB. Dabo tried to do the Lord’s work and knock Bama out. The work should be done. But you never know what the devil got cooked up.

Clemson has 21 ACC titles. Which is the most in the ACC. FSU 2nd. FSU were the kings of the ACC under Bowden. Miami has 0 ACC titles. Gamecocks got more ACC titles. No one thinks Miami when they think ACC. Miami was the team of the Big East And no one gives a poo about Miami anymore. They have had 2 seasons in recent history that were fools gold. Prime isn’t a good coach. He is a good marketer that understood how to use his fame to help his son. God didn’t call him to help HBCUs. He knew he could put disproportionate talent there s the field and draw attention to him and his son. Then he went to immediately to the whitest place in college football because I guess God is fickle….where once again his fame with the current rules would allow him to put disproportionate talent their vs the BIG12 field to help his son get attention. and now that Sheduer is done with college football he has to stay focused on building up his creation. One that he has been involved with every step since HS and there is no coaching resume that isn’t part of that mission. maybe a desperate NFL team will bring the two on. I think higher odds are he just goes back full time into media to help control narratives

You can just google 20.5 million cap for NIL. Dabo was talking about it the other day and how schools wont be able to out spend them. That’s a total sports NIL cap. So you might start to see some real division on who might choose to focus on basketball vs football.

NIL still has a cap right? I think eventually most big ACC schools start maxing out the fully amount. Probably a little too early to stay. Just like this past year, I think the moving is far from over. And the SEC frankly needs to swap out some teams. Top 2 SEC teams did go down though. Go Tigers

Sometimes they are in synergy together and sometimes is just about who can draw the most eyes today (and history can be irrelevant there). I'm glad you pointed out you are young. They didn't play each other in this make believe scenario. The CFP likely puts Clemson in over them. And that doesn't have anything to do with ACC or SEC. The reason they would be putting Clemson in over them.....matters. That's my point. Not saying it should. But it does. It's why Bama is where they are today too. And no schedule tinkering changes that element. It's an eyeball/money game. Who can get the most eyeballs outside of where you exist. If you spawned into the universe in 2020.....and had to list the 2 best teams programs in college football are. It was Bama and Clemson. And you probably had to put Clemson ahead.
