  1. I've seen multiple reports indicating that they are trying to "take the high road" but teams are calling. I've not heard any of the major reporters say they're "not returning calls." Where's that written down?
  2. Why do you think offers would be leaked? We know there's interest from around the league but the GM would play it close to the vest obviously. We know tons of teams are interested, but we're not going to find out details right now. No doubt the Texans would prefer to find a way to keep a happy Watson, but keeping an extremely unhappy player is rough for a rebuilding franchise. We may hear leaks closer to the draft but I doubt before. I don't even see Watson being moved until then. No reason for it.
  3. I agree with this. I think Tua may get back to where he was but that is still to be seen. I'm sure he benefited at Bama but it's clear injuries took their toll too, at least for now.
  4. Seems high but maybe we also were trying to force them to take Teddy or something.
  5. They're entertaining offers because it would be stupid not to. There's no reason to be that ridiculous because it can always be played off as due diligence. It doesn't mean they need to take the offers. There is no player that a team refuses to entertain offers for. Rank the teams? Tons of speculation that NYJ/MIA/CAR are all going to be offering great deals. I would expect any team with a need to be inquiring.
  6. There will likely be 5 or more teams offering at least 2 first rounders and I suspect some that may offer more.
  7. The biggest and simplest is that good luck building your new team around the new management when the QB is begging to get out... and when you could have multiple first rounders to turn things around with. That's a ton of incentive to find a situation that benefits both sides.
  8. It does the Texans no good to refuse even to listen to offers... and 3-4 first round equivalent picks, as has been floated, is worth taking if the relationship has really soured beyond repair.
  9. Watson likely has endorsements as well. There are incentives on both sides to get a decent deal done.
  10. Lol.. those of us noting Watson has leverage due to the no trade clause is relative to a player without one. Do we really need to walk through why that is the case?
  11. We don't know what went down behind closed doors and never will but it strikes me that the signs were pointing to likely moving on from Cam before Rhule was even hired. I don't know why Cam would harbor ill will towards him from public comments, which were as classically coach speak as is possible. Cam knows this is a business and is an adult... As to Tepper... No idea. But unfortunately the Panthers feelings on Cam seemed to he held by the league as a whole. It isn't surprising we moved on from Cam when moving on from Rivera too all things considered.
  12. There's a lot in play here. I do think Miami is a more likely destination but when we are talking future picks and existing players, a lot could be in the works that keeps us competitive where Watson's desire could matter a lot.
  13. I don't believe you can judge what Brady will do with someone like Pitts based on the pitiful talent we have currently available.
  14. The TE is an incredible weapon and I wouldn't be heartbroken with him at all. TBH I expect one of the top 4 QBs to be available at 8, too. We'll see though.
  15. Hey guys this thread is getting stale let's make a new one on this topic
  16. If 4 QBs are gone before we pick there are going to be some simply incredible options available at that spot.
  17. What about beating Detroit? Think how a tie or loss would have changed draft position!!!!!!!!! Burn it down fire tepper it's all over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. What drives the price down a little is that there are quite a few teams that would likely be willing to trade down right after them and there's more than one potential #2 qb in this draft. But the Fina will still probably get a great haul regardless.
  19. The problem there is whatever is in the trade it can't be so much on the offensive side that Watson refuses the trade... Cmc would make sense from a value point of view but they're going to want more than him.
  20. based on how few people I see wearing masks, I would disagree.
  21. Cuomo can go fug himself. Edit: NY can have fuged up without it being a massive conspiracy..
  22. 1) death is not the only consequence of the disease this virus causes. there are significant negative impacts to daily lives of those infected. moreover, should the disease take hold it would stress our healthcare system immensely, which would have knock-on effects for people suffering from other illnesses. 2) almost 20% of our population is in a more vulnerable demographic. as responsible citizens we should be concerned for them and take proactive steps to avoid risking their health. 3) that does not mean panic, but it does mean doing things like shutting down large gatherings and taking precautions now so we don't end up anywhere close to what Italy is experiencing. it is worth noting that your initial post was highly dismissive, but lately you've expressed clear concern for what the disease can do, and apparently have modified your behavior because of it... good on you
  23. hahaha it's a feast, everybody gets a pick! you get a pick! you get a pick! you dropped a pick! now you get a pick! you get a pick! you get a pick!
