  1. His deep balls are a thing of beauty
  2. What a crazy throw by Stroud, wow
  3. I don't have a problem with him sitting, I'd prefer that to an actual injury (I'm not sure which it is). More a remark to the random people claiming the offense will be great now.
  4. Dalton isn't going to light the world on fire... the offense is terrible and it isn't because BY was the problem.
  5. If it's something scandalous I'd rather this than some of the alternatives floating around with regards to pedophilia... but this would absolutely shake the league.
  6. The offense is full of problems, and play calling (or execution) seems suspect at best. There's also been very little for me to hang my hat on and be excited about with BY, but I'm not ready to give up on him entirely or something... I just haven't seen a lot to inspire hope yet. But, over reacting too much to the first couple games of the season just creates needless frustration.
  7. He (CJ) definitely was throwing into very tight windows last game... Probably sometimes to dudes people here would say weren't open. But the chart suggests he's inaccurate when throwing to open windows, which I did not see last game. Didn't watch his first game at all, though.
  8. The x axis shows he has the fewest throws to open windows - one explanation is he has the fewest open windows to throw to as in the title ... That's probably the case. The other possibility is they're there, and he doesn't throw to them (doubtful, unless he can't see them).
  9. To be fair, it might be different if he was throwing to receivers being covered by our corners in live games like he was in practice...
  10. The 5th best player graded on offense was barely better by numeric score than our 5th lowest graded player on D... the defense definitely had an overall solid game.
  11. The system is plenty offensive, hah-haaaah.
  12. At least he interviews better than Steichen
  13. I'm hoping its something like his timing is off and they're asking BY to do too much so he isn't in sync with the offense... because... eesh. His arm did not look good last night.
  14. It's too early to say he's a bust for sure. But I also don't see how these two games inspire excitement or a ton of confidence. BY got little to no help last night from play calling or our supposed play makers, but his play itself didn't inspire a ton of hope. He had a good final series, and a few nice plays smattered throughout the game, but he was consistently off in terms of accuracy and seemed to play somewhat scared. My biggest concern is that his arm strength is worse than advertised and the "elasticity" that was supposed to make him elite when improvising just hasn't shown up. Hoping the receivers / play calling steps up and we see improvement in the coming weeks... not giving up on him yet... but I remember clinging to single drives from Clausen, Allen, Teddy, and Darnold (yes the last two were already vets so it is definitely different). So, I'm being a little more critical now.
  15. I do think he could still turn it around, so I'm hoping he can start hitting the deep balls. I'd rather lose because he threw a couple INTs but also connected deep than have a day like today where the game just drags out and he plays so cautiously...
  16. For sure on CJ. He was my preference. But I got on board with BY in the week kr so before the draft... In college, BY moved around more and was more of a playmaker, it seemed, than a game manager. And it's not like dudes weren't tell at Alabama or in the SEC... but the arm strength was way more a liability than I expected expected
  17. Hate this for him... really hope the report is wrong.
  18. CJ was definitely above BY, but I read it as CJ being "strong to above average for the NFL", but with incredible accuracy / feel for timing, and not the greatest on the move, and BY being "average for the nfl" but with elasticity to have the same velocity throwing from various angles, off balance, when scrambling, etc. Like top end was below CJs, but not by as much as it definitely seems to be so far...
  19. CJ - I felt he had all the tools and was so impressed vs Georgia. Plus, I wanted him because I felt he had a high ceiling but also was generally the guy that was the most likely to have a good career. Both AR and BY were huge risks in completely opposite ways.
  20. CJ didn't even have some super arm. He just has a good arm. AR was the dude with a freak arm. BY wasn't supposed to be this far behind CJ in arm strength according to scouting reports I read...
  21. I don't know if his height is an issue or not, but I'm more concerned with his arm strength right now. Whether he doesn't trust his arm/what he sees, or just can't make the throws, he isn't able to stretch the field the way he needs to.
