  1. Sam is a problem in the larger sense but when one of your top targets is just outright dropping everything it's gonna be tough to make the offense run
  2. Agree on Marshall. Robby is just doing poo all.
  3. I actually think this is an issue beyond the Panthers, and I think a big part of it is the shift in the way college offenses work meaning there are fewer NFL-level OL prospers in the draft. Maybe I'm wrong there, but it seems like a bigger problem and is widespread on many teams.
  4. All this talk about how much money people can make in construction... Isn't the median wage like $15-20/hour in NC? I don't have the experience some of you do in that field... Sure the owners and managers can make more, but I think Philly's points are more about the pattern than possibility for upward mobility for a few. It's good to take pride in your work. Even better to get paid well for it and take pride in it...
  5. What I'm reading is we can't put all of the loss on Sam and ONLY Sam... Which is all I said in the first place. Don't take that to mean I'm satisfied with him. I'm not.
  6. I never said he got a pass. I said that the idea of dismissing every other person related to the Panthers as having a hand in the loss is incorrect. Plays were there that could have changed that games outcome. Yes Darnold sucked and deserves blame, as I said. I would certainly say that DJ, CMC, and the defense had a hand in our wins. Who the hell said otherwise? Lol. By all means though, keep arguing a point I am not at all making.
  7. I'm not convinced we've seen the worst things Gruden said.
  8. This isn't true. The team lost and different plays from Darnold or Anderson or the special teams and we likely win. Different play calls or 2nd half adjustments and we likely win. Darnold deserves blame and Id even grant he deserves more than others for that game, but there were plenty of opportunities for a win despite him.
  9. Im gonna give him a pass for coach speak for now but it really came off as not taking any responsibility... Virtually the opposite of Rhule...
  10. Taking a day off of practice while recouping isn't necessarily a setback, especially a Thursday.
  11. Darnold has to be better at guessing which turnstyle will spin first...
  12. Emotional on the sideline is fine, but is Robby upset with his usage and that is causing him go drop passes and run lazy routes? That's a small concern I have. Darnold needs to play better, yes, but Robby has been dropping balls all year.
  13. Right. It sounded just like bigotry. This wasn't as if a team was blowing major draft value to appease Goodell... It didn't make a lot of sense...
  14. The actual presser, and in context, it did not sound like his message to the team and media has been "the defense is at fault," but that it was a team loss. I think you're keying in to something important though, he has higher expectations for the D. But we need the same investment and expectations for our O or we will squander the talent we have on D. Acknowledging the amount we've spent on D is not blaming them exclusively when it's part of a wider set of comments though. I really think some of this is being taken too much out of context.
  15. I agree... If he isn't playing next game, it almost has to be an indication there are significant problems with him we don't know about. It has taken Rhule time to replace some vets before but Miller is getting Darnold destroyed and dragging everything down with him. He has to see that...
  16. Rather than arguing on who Darnold should have thrown to (not the other team), why don't we ask if the problem is Robby's lack of position versatility? I mean, think how much more flexible we'd be if he could play guard. Maybe we should start a positionless offense. I mean, it can't be worse than our current offensive line, can it? Yes I've lost my mind. I've been reading too many threads on here lately.
  17. I bet he'd get a higher PFF grade at guard than Miller.
  18. In on every deal! One more CB/safety and maybe we stop that last eagles drive
  19. Darnold will have a ton more games for show what kind of QB he really is as a Panther. Ideally we have something resembling a professional OL in front of him for most of that time, but I'm skeptical.
  20. Those are offensive grades alright! I'll see myself out...
  21. Lol I love people earlier that think this press conference is going to lose Rhule the lockerroom.
  22. Teddy told us where a lot of our issues were last year in terms of focus in practice etc too. Still glad he's gone.
  23. Most of us expected days like this during his development. So, let's not panic toooo much and see how he responds moving forward. Oh yeah and let's try literally anyone else on the interior OL.
  24. Lol what. Darnold is going to have a ton more time to show what he really is as a player.
