Who didn't see this coming the second he was drafted?

This team needs to tank if they wanna be relevant, the shortcuts they've tried to take have largely blown up in their faces. The team is not a QB away from competing yet, and that's clear, but apparently the plan is to play everything by ear. They give Rhule a long contract and present themselves like theire taking it slow, like the Lions, then immediately start trading draft picks for AnY ole QB. That's not coherent. This is a year to build up your roster bc clearly next year is the year to draft a QB. But they've screwed the pooch so much they've backed themselves into a corner and honestly some folks who post here could've done a better job running the team the last two years.

Yeah, he should've been the starter at day one at LG, then kicked out to tackle the second Irving got injured the first time. I was hoping that was the plan originally and I think a lot of people were hoping that was how they'd work him into the lineup.

I dig it. If the Panthers somehow still sign Bozeman to be the starter at C I'm real excited.

Yeah, this guy seems decent. Last year we knew Irving and Pat weren't good if you were relying on them to start (ugh) but this guy seems like a solid role player and maybe an upgrade from Burris.

People already had questions on for Howell due to the offense he plays in and the fact that he was losing his skill guys to the nfl. He still played well but all the questions about him remained and I think people around here liked him more than the consensus bc he's local. Rattler was the hyped up arm talent prospect but of course he bombed and got benched. The prospects next year are much more well regarded, that doesn't mean things can't change.

No, they had Spencer Rattler in that spot. Those dudes mentioned are all better prospects and have played better on the field too.

Plus next year has three legit prospects who'd have been picked ahead of anyone this year (Young, Stroud, Jurkovec) and this team isn't a QB away from being good.

I wanna love him but reminds me of Tarvaris Jackson kinda, tbh. This is absolutely the year to pass on QB unless your team is actually good

Damn, but that's even more reason to lean O Line this year and wait for quarterback in 2023, trade down if possible, bc there are three solid QBs who'd probably all go number one this year if they were eligible
