Moton should just have played the year out to see what's what or they should have replaced him, whixh is a tall order for a team with so much else needing done. I do think they were trying to create space for someone else but that's also a huge negative for me because the 'one player away mentality' has always been a failure that I can remember. Corbett was a known health issue, a waste of roster space really. BC has had a fractured ankle and a torn bicep so he isn't a huge shocker either, unlucky or injury prone at this point? Add in Moton and that unit was always suspect. Having both high priced OGs dealing with injuries 1 year removed from their big deals just seems like the chefs kiss to that entire build. So 2 known injury issues with starters, a backup that's probably injury prone now, Mays and then nobodies. I don't think I can call that decent depth, especially considering the 2 known starter issues coming into the year.

We gave a guy with knee issues a 2 year extension and had blown heavily in free agency on OGs with a known health issue at center. Unfortunately it's looking more worst case in those possibilities. Zavala is more worst case from the drafting side is all.

He hurt his thumb on that first drive I thought? I knew he was going to be bad but it was still shocking. His head wasn't great in preseason either. He just looked really bad last year after his first game. Worse than the year before. It has been obvious he was aging out fast but the mental side is some Panther level BS. How do you see that as a coach and go 'let's get him signed for another 2 years' or in preseason and not saying 'umm Plumber isn't going to be enough with Dalton looking retired already'?

Sorry was in a hurry. I always saw this as a free agent need this year. They needed a #2 and not a rookie. A rookie would have been fine as a #3 but given all the other needs I completely get passing on that in the draft. I Just never liked them resigning Dalton when it was obvious he was washed. They would have had to pay more but look what they got for 4 mil a year. Might as well just gone into the year with 1 QB lol

Yes. That's what you buy on a discount in free agency while the team keeps swinging in the draft and not spend multiple 1st, a starter and more on. Also it's year 3 so I have no idea what people are hoping a surge of improvement comes from at this point. It's not coming physically. Maybe he sits and fixes his mechanics after his stint here? Seems like a stretch given why they are the way they are but that's the only route I can guess and even then it's hitting jag QB levels. The only way he can bust harder at this point is by the team taking his 5th option and dragging out another 2 years of this crap and still go no where with it.

Go a head and IR Dalton too. It's almost like they should have taken the QB #2 spot a little more seriously in the offseason.

I'm torn. It's easy to crap on Hubbard and Rico is doing well. This team is dogpoo without an effective running game. If we had a decent QB I wouldn't care but we are 1 injury away from needing to run the Wildcat and even without that injury they still need to be running the ball more than throwing. Otherwise sure why not? Bigger issue is the offensive calls and the OC/HC has no idea how to rotate or spell players.

That's why so many said he wasn't worth it here, there was only DB and it wasn't enough. If Burns is feasting then the other guys in NY are doing enough already, Burns is just collecting the stats. It's what he eas built for and is finally in his perfect space to succeed. Im not as in on the new guys yet. More is an understatement but the good news is that they are rookies.
