We had a OG at LT, our backup LT at RG, Elf at C (who is a LG) and at one point BC at LG who is a LT. That is 4 guys playing out of their positions. I guess Elf played C his rookie year but we signed him as a LG. This staff is terrible and has been making terrible personnel decisions.

So where will we play him out of position like we did with 80% of the line last week?

This was already covered in another thread. Hurney approved of Rhule and Tepper went along with it. They were both in the room and in on it. As for the contract, tell me it doesn't look like a Hurney contract? What was the percentage of fault on the contract? The coaches pay is just a normal expense on the P & L. So more expense would just result in more offset of the income at the end of the year. I'm not sure on the cash flow of the organization, I haven't heard how they operate that side at all. It could be there as normal operating activity can cover that, income & expenses, or he could keep all of the cash working in an investment elsewhere instead of sitting idle and put it back when needed. Lots of ways to run the business side and completely depends on how he wants to operate. Either way, if he put money into the organization then it's just equity he can take out when he wants and however fits his tax planning.

This entire staff is a Hurney level product, all of them.

That is an easy fix and a huge part of why we ended up with Fitts.

OMG, Tepper wanted Rhule but he also wanted Hurney to hold his hand during the process. Both are true, Rhule is a Tepper and Hurney guy, which makes all the other hires including Fritts an extension of Hurney and Tepper. The percent of blame really doesn't matter because Hurney should have already been fired by that point. Tepper fugged all of this up but he had a lot of help along the way. IF he learned anything he needs to have learned why when you clean house, you clean the entire thing or this is the kind of mess you make and the time you waste.

I don't have that trust in him. I am very concerned about that guy helping with the next coach search. His positives are heavily outweighed by his negatives. We need a better GM before we hire the next batch. The fact is we hired him to be a GM under Rhule, that eliminated all of the good GM options off the top form the get go. I have no idea why people rally behind the guy, he is no different than the rest of the staff. He just seems like the new Hurney here.

People loved Hurney too... No matter how you spin it, Fritterer had a hand in this mess and incompetence. Hell, just being Rhule's GM should be enough to want to go in a different direction. What hire did Rhule make with his staff here that was ever a good hire? Yeah we need a new GM or we will be in the same sad spot in another 2 years, maybe worse.

I don't really dislike the guy enough to wish that on him.

But not day of sales. Those are not shared and do matter. The thing about billionaires is they tend to have egos to match their bank accounts. This is his team and it represents him in many ways. He cares, now we need to see him un-fug the mess he made. If Tepper didn't care at all Cam wouldn't be back and we would have had to watch PJ and Barkley. Caring and being good/competent are not mutually inclusive.

Talent and coaching is an issue here. They can't find it and they wouldn't know what to do with it anyways. Also, expecting Fritts to bring in good olinen is hilarious. That dude is 0-4 last offseason at this point. Nothing is going to change with this crew, they are all awful.

Fire everyone. The pro-personnel people, the GM and the coaching staff. I'm cool with Morgan as long as he doesn't spend anymore time with the rest of the garbage. Tepper should be working on hiring the expert to bring in to do the heavy lifting. If they keep the trash in place then nothing is going to change. The house is infested with incompetence. Burn it or have it infect the next staff.
