No real upside and can't be leaned on. Looks good when thr other team is in prevent or asleep, looks limited regardless. There are zero reasons for a year 4. Just call it what it is and play his year with the focus on moving him after the season. We should play him into the ground for a new QB but this crew has to do more than that or else. It's all so stupid.

Then why was he brought back? Everyone signed off on this and then drafted around him. Just let it play out and clean house. First they have to finish another underwhelming year.

I can. They hired a great DC and he classically messed up a good thing on the other side. They had success on the offensive side and then took it for granted when team building. Personally I think they got lucky with Stroud and then did what their normal is. Im not a fan of their GM either so I just think your seeing the true normal from that group. There is a reason Kiffen wanted to remain a top DC vs taking on the switch to HC. Being great as a coordinator doesn't require the same talents that makes a great HC. Bowles is doing a better job as HC than I think of his times as a DC too. Fans just take it for granted that a great coordinator will automatically make a great HC.

Smart coach. Good attitude too. Im a little shocked Bowles was able to find him as an OC after losing his OC the year before. For a deffensive HC to keep finding decent to good OCs is a huge hurdle. Look down at the Texans. The best DCs to HCs don't figure out thr other side very often and they can make a mess of it like that more often than not. I think we got the wrong one honestly. That is a quality HC or at least a guy who has a good chance of turning into one.

How about fug them both? Baker came in with an attitude problem. It wasn't a secret in Cleveland either. Wilks had a QB playing a DE on the scout team and hasn't stuck anywhere long so whatever is going on there it seems to be a thing. Right now Wilks is coaching a bottom 3rd D, one that was a top 3rd 2 years ago, so it's not even spilt milk people are crying over...not sure what it is but it isn't very good. I say that while still appreciating the post Rhule effort. Fug them both and the fact this team still can't beat Baker in Tampa is the only thing in all of this worth being upset about IMO.

I wish we had Stroud. Young would have already washed out on the Texans. Their entire staff would have already been fired and he would be on his second team by now. Mean while fans here are celebrating 1-2 in the easy part of the schedule.

Same as if we had kept Clowney to play in rotation. There he is on his retirement tour. Here he would have been much needed value in helping fill out gaps in production. Those guys aren't suposed to carry your team at that point in their careers. Just make a few well timed plays while setting the younger guys up for more success around them. We should have traded XL but they made him a sandwich.

That trade up isn't looking so genius now. Im not sure he will turn it around here after the PR blitz they put out on him. Just trade him and learn freaking something from it finally. Not being able to find a QB got Gruden fired. Didn't he have like 7 QBs his last year and none were good. That should be firable for an offensive guy after that many years of looking. He had to play Jeff Garcia from the grave his last 2 years... Then they hired Morris lol

I don't think this will be answered for a few games. I think Dallas will start the reality check. NE and Miami are more toss up games, who knows what those look like at this point.

Jackson is Morgan's best move and exactly what you want to find later in the draft and in trades. Good player who is reliable and worth what they are paying him. I wish we had 10 more players like him. He isn't catching Olsen who was a great player but that's not a negative but just the reality.
