Will history repeat itself and Carolina make it to NFCCG this year?
jfra78 replied to KSpan's topic in Carolina Panthers

RUMOR: Panthers possibly making an addition in the secondary
jfra78 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It makes alot of sense for us to pick him up, I'm sure we won't do it -
It's not about excuses, in fact I think the Hornets are in a decent position in the draft. It's just obvious the league is rigging the draft, and when you know that it makes the product hard to watch and get invested in.

Sounds jealous

Image downloaded incase any falcon fans wanna talk junk on gamedays -
I agree that they most likely leaned on their own scouting and intel to evaluate talent, but there's nothing wrong with picking the brains of current rostered players. If nothing else it promotes unity and team building and maybe another angle to evaluate, the more info the better. As long as it's just part of the process and not the whole process I'm okay with it.

Got this feeling Flagg will be fools gold. Might have dodged a bullet

Quote the post where I said this team is ready or one player away from making a deep playoff run.
-
So answer these two questions. Did most media outlets have us ranked in the mid 20s prior to 2015 season? Did we go out and sign aging players anyway? That's the only comparison I made, you came up with the rest on your own
-
Oh youre just an asshole got it. I never said I thought this team was a superbowl contender or even a player away from anything and you know it. I was just comparing the situation which is similar even tho you can't see it. I'm sure if the team did somehow make it to the playoffs this season, 10 years from now you will claim to have known it all along.
-
Lol okay you have your opinion I have mine. If they decide to go after Jalen Ramsey, I will be okay and you will be upset. Nothing new
-
Most media outlets had them ranked in the mid 20s at this time in 2015. So regardless of what you think, not many believed they were a deep playoff threat. So when they went out and traded for Jared Allen and signed Peanut Tillman, both aging vets, they did so even tho no one thought they had a chance. The team should always think they have a chance and 2015 proves that.
-
Josh Norman was hot and cold and often injured before 2015. Jared Allen was traded to us in September of 2015, so he wasn't there in May of 2015. No one outside of Carolina knew who Coleman was. I will give you the rest, but there's no way you would think with those players that we were going to make a deep playoff run.
-
If you're saying that you knew, in May of 2015, that the Panthers, after going 7-8-1, were going to make a deep playoff run 2015, you're lying. Nobody thought this team was going to go 15-1 and most thought we were going to miss the playoffs.
-
I didn't say we were as good as 2015, what I'm saying is you never know and you can't build you're team as if you do
-
We did it in 2015 when everyone had us ranked in the 20s preseason.
-
It makes sense for us because we could use a vet CB of his level opposite of Horn, even if it's a short term rental.
-
You never really know when a team is going to turn a corner and make a deep playoff run. I say take a swing, this could be like Tillman in 2015
