Draft the player not the school. LSU had a loaded team around Burrow. Stroud’s team was loaded as well.

Yeah as much as I liked Howell, Brissett had the offense looking way better. They are positioned get one of the big 2, it would be wise to take one.

Oh this is a Bryce thing lol. Yeah Chark also sucks. He had 3 big drops and TD costing fumble just last game. Hyping him up to make Young look worse isn’t needed.

Incomplete is the best grade IMO. If we get a functional offense and he still struggles then grade away and move on. He didn’t show he could survive in a terrible offense like you would like the top pick to do, but not many QBs could have. I just have trouble grading anything with our awful OG play, lack of weapons, and terrible play calling. He should get his shot next year to show us something.

We should draft his son. Not in the 2nd, but he has done potential as well as a mid pick.

I mean his arm looked solid last week. Nothing special and constant pressure will make QBs throws ducks a lot.

Penix under pressure throws ducks as well. His OL has kept him clean all season plus he has loads of weapons.

Got benched at Auburn because he didn’t have all those weapons. Went to the PAC 12 to look better and he is like a 6th year senior. Fill another need at 33.

As an Auburn fan I’d strongly advise against drafting Nix.

Hiring a search firm is a positive thing and this is also a good sign. Let’s hope Tepper gets it right this time.

People just need to stop being so vested in him one way or another. He is almost certainly our QB next year so I hope we give him some talent and he looks the part. If he doesn’t we just swing again in 2025 hopefully without trading away picks/players and actually have a decent offense for whomever to work with. We have been too QB obsessed IMO. Paid Teddy a dumb contract and cut him after a year, traded for Darnold while picking up his 5th year option, traded for Baker and cut him midseason, and then traded away all of our offensive weapons to draft a rookie QB. Baker was awful here and looks solid at TB. Why is this? Because they have actually built a decent offense that a QB can work with. The most yards Baker put up with us was 235 against his former team. 5 of his 7 games he threw for under 200. Oh and he had DJ and CMC (for most of his games). We have to address this whole offense and stop chasing QBs. Otherwise we could be stuck in this cycle forever.

He is trying to protect them from becoming fans of the team. No kid should have to experience a season like we just had…

Our whole offense from the play callers to the players has been just awful. My thought is to fix this first and if Young still struggles then you can move on while putting your new QB in a much better situation.

Slowik and Johnson are my top two right now, but it changes daily. I might be more concerned about the GM. If the GM is right he will find a good coach.
