So what’s the PR bullshit of Thomas Brown saying he helped create this offense? It’s such a pointless hill to die on. Yeah they overhyped their team which yeah like you stated most teams PR will do, but lying about who designed what plays just seems odd. Like who cares? Whoever designed this offense didn’t do a good job so far. This is just the Young ankle injury fan created theory all over again. I understand your heels are dug in and you are going to stick with what you are saying but I just don’t understand the point I guess.

He didn’t build it on his on. They both claim to have built it together. There are absolutely parts of Reich’s offense in it. I just don’t think Brown is lying saying he had a big part in creating it. Remember Reich was calling plays the first 6 games so he probably leaned on the ones he liked/created. We only saw one game of Brown calling plays. I’m not wasting pages arguing with you about what was stated and what is true or not. Im just saying if he spent an entire interview explaining how he helped created this offense and playbook with Reich I doubt he is just making poo up. It’s such a pointless lie to elaborate that much on.

Some people love a good conspiracy theory. I mean Brown was breaking down how they both developed this whole offense and playbook and how he took part of what he learned from McVay. I doubt there is zero truth in that whole interview. I think some people are just bored and arguing nonsense for shits and giggles.

Von Bell was back at practice as well.

I’m not sold on Bozeman in this blocking scheme either.

That’s why you don’t do a full 180 in one offseason. You build a scheme around the players you have and play to their strengths. Forcing these players to play in his scheme wasn’t the best decision by Reich IMO. The OL for example wasn’t and isn’t ready for the zone blocking scheme they are wanting to run.

Official Trade Deadline & Speculation Thread
ForJimmy replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've felt that way these past couple years, but this season he has ran some sloppy/wrong routes and given up on some plays. That's not a good recipe for developing a young QB. -

WTF? The Niners got him for a mid round pick? It will be a late mid round pick too…. -
How do the Panthers move forward in a tanked season

Yeah exactly. Cam cost us the top overall pick, but was well worth it. -

I think the confusion is the cost to draft Young vs the cost of the trade. We lost a first, swapped a first and used it to draft Young. So the cost to draft Young was 2 firsts, DJ Moore, a 2nd, and a future 2nd. The cost to swap and move up to pick 1 was a future first, Moore, a 2nd, and a future 2nd. -
Burrow is legit. Bryce's game was similar to his in college. Even Manning said he saw some Burrow in Young's tape.

Yeah if that’s the market then we either extend Burns or tag and trade him in the offseason. -
Trade Burns for Jaylon Johnson and some picks
ForJimmy replied to Varking's topic in Carolina Panthers
I doubt we trade him but I don't think you understand it's not just for a 1st round pick. It SHOULD be a 1st PLUS player or more picks PLUS the money we can use for Luvu, Brown, and another player. I like Burns and am ok if we keep him, I just think it makes more sense to extend Brown, Luvu, add another player AND get some picks/players to work vs paying a pass rushing specialist on a bottom tier roster that kind of money. -

Some people think it's a bad idea to give one play that can have minimal impact on our record as shown by the past 5 years 30 plus million a year when we have so many holes in the roster right now. If we were in the playoff hunt and ready to contend then sure throw some money at a player than could push us over the edge vs competition. We are not there yet. -

At 1-6 that's not the worst idea. A lot of teams are in sell mode that have our record. It's also silly to not want any draft picks because we can't draft well. Fitt just has his first draft without Rhule and it's way to early to judge it, plus who knows if he will still be our GM or not. -

What’s our record with Burns as a starter? -
Why Trading Burns is the Only Path to Getting a #1 WR in 2024
ForJimmy replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I’ve already told him I doubt the Lions trade him away. They are a playoff team and working on getting him involved in their offense. If he catches on, that offense could be deadly with St Brown, LaPorta, and Gibbs. They may trade away picks for a player, but I don’t think they are trading away talent at this point. -
No problem. I don’t know what we offered him, but it couldn’t have been much less than the Bears deal.

Lol at people calling other fans fair weather this season. We are 1-6 and anyone still excited/supporting this team is pretty damn loyal IMO.

https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/gm-report/the-panthers-made-the-wrong-call-on-donta-foreman The Carolina Panthers offered running back D'Onta Foreman a contract last offseason but after Foreman turned the deal down, the Panthers decided to move on and instead, pay Miles Sanders a four-year, $25.4M contract. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/03/13/panthers-free-agency-offers-bradley-bozeman-donta-foreman/ According to Darin Gantt of Panthers.com, the team has already extended offers to center Bradley Bozeman and running back D’Onta Foreman. They are, obviously, considered top priorities for the organization this offseason.
