If Bryce busts, was that the worst trade in the history of the NFL?
ForJimmy replied to Captroop's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not buying that either. If we stayed put and didn't make that trade we would have zero chance at Caleb Williams. So it's not like we missed on him because of the Young trade. -
Whispers “wide receiver screen…”
-
I feel like that’s on the play caller more than Young.

Is Frank Reich telling Bryce who to throw to on each play?
ForJimmy replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
If it was a screen those are pretty much designed as a one read play. There is also like a 20% chance it was a screen. -
What do you think Bryce is angry at here?
ForJimmy replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
I liked seeing him get mad. He also was hyping up his OL and offense on the sidelines at one point. If we are going to change this culture we need more players showing some passion like that. -
We clearly thought we were a more complete team than we are. Switching to a 3-4 plus a whole new offensive scheme means we really have to retool our roster. Use that $30 million on several players plus get more players out of the draft picks. It’s nothing against Burns if we were making a playoff push I’d be ok with paying him but we have so many holes and positions that need upgrading.
-
$30 million dollars for a pass rusher would take a huge chunk of that cap away. Extend Brown for less, sign a solid LB, pay a WR1 for Young to throw to, sign a NT, add depth to the OL and secondary. These are all things we have to do. Burns needs to be traded to a contender for some draft capital.
-
Correct it was 23’s 2nd, 24’s 1st, and 25’s 1st. The problem is we have way too many holes to sign Burns to the contract he desires. We would have been better off trading with the Rams, using that 2nd on an edge and having a 1st the next two years.

It’s bad when our OL looked much better with McAdoo running it.
-
I get that but it was a distant throw in the redzone that was in a tight window. You could argue he isn’t confident enough to throw it, but he is physically able to.
-
He threw a 17 yard TD in the red zone. He is CAPABLE of it. I’m not sure our offense is capable of executing it. He pretty much threw that pass perfectly in a tight spot.

We didn’t like a post laughing at a player crying that didn’t even happen. It was a dumb posts that didn’t deserve much more that a poo response. You are a mod and you have issues with the sites reaction emojis? There have been plenty of posts expressing why they don’t like it. Don’t even talk about the hive mind bullshit. You are all over the Young sucks we wasted our pick train right now which is a hive mindset if I’ve ever seen one. There were a lot of factors that are going into our offensive struggles outside of Young. Young wasn’t my first choice and he definitely has weaknesses but I’m not slapping all of the blame on him. I’m hoping you are just drunk or something right now.
-
The whole point of the pie/poo reactions is to state if posters like or dislike posts right? If you are getting a lot of poo and now complaining about it you might be the issue? Just a thought…

Irrelevant. On a side note how the hell is this guy a mod????

I know a couple who have already left. If there is no real substance left to read and just a bunch of doom and gloom then yeah I get it. People can be critical and still provide good info/analytics. Playing calling, different players struggling etc all make sense. Now we have mods starting threads about one of our players crying and taunting people who don’t like it. Yeah it’s turning into some middle school nonsense…

He has 2 plays to choose from. Apparently it’s WR screen or Sanders up the middle. All kill kill kill does is move to the 2nd play.

I just want Thomas Brown to call plays.

The sad thing is we might actually have one. He just isn’t allowed to call plays making him useless.

Ladies and Gentlemen... The Maestro is in the building!
ForJimmy replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
I maybe crazy but I genuinely think he made some steps forward. When it was a fast paced offense and he was throwing some 10 plus yarders he looked solid. I’m not sure he had an incompletion in the second half. What did concern me is our play calling. That WR bubble screen play is getting frustrating. That’s the play. Quick snap and immediately threw it to TMJ or AT. This doesn’t help Young’s development at all and usually puts us behind the sticks. Then we plow Sanders right up the middle where we have two backup guards playing. Sanders looked way better in space and Hubbard is better up the middle. Reich needs to stop slowing the offense down and just let Bryce play. If he throws picks he throws picks. It will help him learn and grow. The most frustrating thing to me was the constant hiking the ball with 1 second left. You might as well just give the defense our snap count if you are doing that most plays. -
He needs to get the next play off quicker. Sometimes taking the sack is the best play so I’m not worried about that as much as what happened afterwards.
-
And we burned a timeout… That was our chance of possibly getting the ball back if needed.
-
We ran one against the Saints in week 2. Rolled Young out and he hit Thielen for the 2 point conversion.
-
Yeah that’s was frustrating. Young was getting in rhythm.
